Home description
This is a new 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a small apartment block. It is a perfect place where children can play outside safely in winter and summer. There is 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and a 'Coin Montagne' french style bunk bed in the large hall. There is a fitted double wardrobe in both bedrooms and the hall has an extremely large double wardrobe which incorporates plenty of storage space for all guests. There is a lovely bathroom with bath/shower and a separate toilet. The apartment is beautifully appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4 ring hob, oven/grill, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer and last but not least, the argument avoider -THE DISHWASHER! The living area is spacious and comfortable with a colour TV/DVD and Radio/CD player. The living room looks out onto the sloping ground which is traditionally the sledging area for the whole village. (Perfect for watching the children play while enjoying a glass of ' Vin Rouge') It is possible to ski right down to the apartment with the new ski run to the village. In summer the area in front of the apartment is a great playing area for children with space for ball games and badminton nets. In winter it's great for sledging and snow ball fights!

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Rhone Alps area is one of the most popular tourist areas in France. The scenery is breathtaking both equally in the winter and summertime. The climate is cold in Winter, perfect for Ski-ing, Sledging and snow shoe walking. Warm in the summer, perfect for mountain walks, sailing, swimming in lake Geneva and countless other activities.
The Haute Savoie region is home to the Savoyard people and the wonderful Savoyard style cooking which is the ultimate end to a long day in the mountains. As for all cheese lovers - need we say more!
The main ski area in this region is the 'Portes Du Soleil' which has over 650 Km of slopes and is one of the largest winter ski areas in the world. Activities in both winter and summer are numerous for both adults and children, so no-one will be BORED!
Thollon les Memises area
Thollon Les Memises is a beautiful village known as the 'Balcon Du Leman' due to its location overlooking lake Geneva. The views are nothing short of spectacular and coupled with its own 50 Km of ski runs, is said to be one of the most picturesque ski resorts in this area. A Telecabin runs from the centre of the village and takes you to 1600 metres, which is the start of the main ski area. A new ski run will allow you to ski back to the village.
In summer Thollon Les Memises is very popular with hikers and paragliders. Other activities in and around the village include tennis, table tennis, fishing, horse irding, golf, mountain biking and water sports.
The spa town of Evian is a 10 min drive away. It has numerous beaches, mini-golf, boating, outdoor markets, thermal spa and casino. A superb lake side swimming pool is available in Evian, with heated outdoor pools, tobaggan run, lake side diving pool and inflatable fun pool at a small reasonable cost. It also has some excellent restaurants and shops.
How to get there
Thollon les Memises is approximately 65 kms from Geneva Airport. Cheap flights with Easyjet, Flyglobespan, Aerlingus etc. Car hire at French side (map and driving directions can be supplied), alternatively take the train to Evian Les Bains and a short taxi ride to Thollon Les Memises. We can also arrange for transfers to/and from the resort (payable locally, price at time of request)

Further details indoors: A large lockable 'Cave' (Ski locker) is available for the storage of Ski's & Boots in the basement of the apartment. There is also a parking space available. A lift is also available from the basement to the apartment. All beds have Duvet/Quilts and Pillows, but covers for them, bottom sheets and towels are not supplied. Linen is available on request. (At an additional cost)

Refundable deposit of £250 is required upon booking, (fully refunded if cancellation made 4 or more weeks before hiring date) This sum will be held as a breakages deposit and will be fully refunded within 2 weeks of your departure. (Subject to satisfactory property inspection)
The apartment must be cleaned prior to departure, alternatively cleaning can be arranged at an extra cost.
Cleaning will also be checked during the property inspection.
Full payment for the hire of the apartment must be received 4 weeks before your stay.
