About the home

This is a beautiful apartment, . Double bedroom and coin montagne ( bunks beds). Separate bathroom and wc, bath and shower. Living room/kitchen with double sofa that splits into single beds. Balcony from lounge overlooks lake Geneva, Balcony from bedroom faces mountains and village.

2min walk to telecabin and shops. Groceries can be ordered prior to arrival on the internet. Room to leave skis boots bikes etc. Lift. The location is perfect winter and summer, with skiing, bike riding, fishing, superb mountain walks and may other lake side activities in the nearby town of Evian. The apartment has been furnished to a very high standard and includes everything you need. Towels and linen can be supplied at an additional cost.

We are aware of the problem with the airlines and luggage weight. So we have tried to include as much as we can think of to help reduce your weight. Professional hairdyer, GHD's, hotbrush, shampoo, conditioner, soap. If anything is not included that you would like please let me know and I will do my best to make sure it is. We are taking great pride in our apartment and want people to enjoy their stay and be happy with the apartment

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

Typical Alpine climate, cold in winter perfect for skiing and snow shoe walking. Warm in summer perfect for mountain walks, lazing by the lake, swimming, boating etc. Lots to do, and be as active or relaxing as you like.
Near to the Swiss Border so trips to Geneva, Laussane, Montreaux are all less than an hours drive away or more relaxing by train or scheduled steamer from the Lake Port.

The Thollon les Memises area

Thollon is a quiet Ski village with restaurants shops and bars, 50km of ski runs suiting beginner to advanced standard with a new run for the 2006/07 season that leads back to the resort centre. The Telecabin takes you from the village centre to the start of the runs then you can take your choice of lifts over the mountain. Other large ski resorts nearby include Chatel and Avoriaz both a 40 min easy drive away, Chamonix is an hours drive,lots of Swiss and French smaller resorts are closer for a day out.

In the summer the mountains come alive with people walking, mountain biking (the Telecabin stays open) or just relaxing in the sun.

The nearby town of Evian is a 10 min drive or bus ride away and is a typical lakeside town with more water sports than you can take in on a short visit. the town is small and has the usual selection of banks shops etc and has pretty floral displays.

The spa has lots of treatments available but you should book as soon as you can as it is very popular.
There is golf, horse-riding and tennis near by. Thollon has several wonderful restaurants. Don't forget the cinema. We love Thollon and hope you do too. We must also give the excellent ski school a mention.

Cheap flight with easyjet to Geneva, all year round. 40km from airport. We can arrange transport from the airport. Car hire is cheaper from the French side.

“Great appartment,clean with fantastic views.” We stayed feb 2011 for the school half term. A family of four,two young childeren (3 and 5). The appartment was great,very easy for the gondela....needed when you have young kids!. The resort was brilliant for them learning to ski as was the ski school. Very nice restaurants within easy walking distance and always fantastic views. The skiing is limited if you are a good skier.....but hey we were there for the kids. This is very nice village and a clean,convenient and well kept apparment. Highly recommended.

“Delightful” We have stayed in this apartment on numerous occasions. It has a lovely outlook whichever way you look either over the mountains or the lake. Clean and very well equipped and the supermarket is on the door step. Arrangements for letting have always gone smoothly and we have been in both summer and winter - can't wait to go back.

“Very clean and convienient apartment” We have been to Thollon before and organised this trip between Xmas and New Year quite last minute. the apartment had every amenity you require (even GHD's!) and was very clean, there was plenty of bedding and towels. Although it could sleep all of us (two adults and 3 teenagers) it would probably suit less people on a ski holiday due to all the equipment and clothes we had between us. Thollon is a lovely village and the apartment is very close to the ski slope, restaurants and the village supermarket, other ski resorts are a short drive away as is the town of Evian on Lake Geneva. I would definately book again if i go back!
