This two bedroom apartment was originally designed with three bedrooms. However, the accommodation has been configured to provide spacious living for families with a separate dining room. There is one double and one twin bedded room with a double sofa bed in the living room. Lovely bathroom and two toilets. Designated parking space at ground level plus private underground garage. The two balconies provide breathtaking views over Lake Geneva and the mountains of France and Switzerland.
Beautifully appointed, the apartment provides everything for your comfort. The fully equipped kitchenette has a breakfast bar, four ring hob, full oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge etc, etc. The living area is spacious and comfortable and includes a superb audio visual system. The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Alps is Frances third most popular tourist region, following Paris and the Cote d’Azur and is Europe’s largest mountain range. The Haute Savoie region gives its name to the Savoyard people and also the regional style of cooking, which includes Fondue and Raclette – melted cheese with potatoes and cold meats – delicious after a long days walking or skiing.
For those who like to explore this is the perfect place to locate yourself. One the edge of the Portes du Soliel, you have available one of the largest winter sport areas in the world. The region covers 14 valleys streched out over France (Haute-Savoie) and Switzerland (The Valais). It offers 650 kilometres of slopes, more then 200 ski-lifts, 243 km of cross-country skiing and 9 snowparks.
Around Lake Geneva there are numerous places of intereset to explore by road or boat. These include Evian, Thonnon and the medieval village of Yvoire, on the French side of the lake, and Lussanne, Montreux and Geneva, on the Swiss side.
Thollon les Memises area
The village of Thollon-les-Mémises lies in eastern France in the French Alps. It is a pretty village in the most traditional Alpine style, and views are stunning whether it is winter or summer. The village is known as the Balcony of the Léman, due to its location overlooking the beautiful Lake Geneva. The views from Thollon-les-Mémises are so glorious that they are actually mentioned in the Michelin Guide, which is quite an accolade for such a small village!
The apartment is situated at the centre of the village, and is less than 50 meters from the ski lift. During the winter months you can actually ski into the apartment block.
During the summer months the cable – car takes hikers and paragliders to an altitude of 1600 meters. Other activities in and around the village include tennis, fishing, horse riding, golf, mountain biking & water sports
Evian les Bains is only a short distance from the village by car or local bus. It offers numerous recreational and cultural prospects. There are a wide variety of restaurants and shops, a casino and the famous lido and spa baths and the opportunity to explore the many famous lakeside towns by road or boat.
How to get there
Thollon les Memises is about 60 kms from Geneva Airport, which is serviced by many budget airlines. Car hire is available from the airport and the drive to the apartment will take around 1hr 15mins. Alternatively, take the train to the beautiful lake side town of Evian then a 15min taxi ride to the apartment.
