Burneston is a quiet picturesque village located just three miles South of Bedale. The village shop is now primarily a Post Office, and the Woodman pub sits proudly in the centre of this small Yorkshire village, providing a hub for locals and visitors to enjoy the ambience of the local banter. The quaint market town of Bedale hosts a bustling weekly market selling a range of local produce. The town enjoys many pleasant tearooms and interesting gift shops. A new venture for the area is the Bedale Bakery where local volunteers produce fresh bread on a daily basis using all local produce, something of which the town is very proud. The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists, and you are sure to be blown away by the stunning scenery on offer.
