There are many animals on the farm including cows, sheep and lots of hens producing free range eggs which is ideal for children to enjoy. The North York Moors National Park lies just inland from the North Yorkshire coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough and has 1,400 miles of trails, footpaths and bridleways, surrounded by heather clad rolling moor land dotted with pretty rural villages and historic country towns. Carving a pathway deep through the North York Moors is the famous North Yorkshire Moors steam railway, which carries passengers from Pickering in the south, north to Grosmont and then along the lovely Esk Valley to Whitby on the coast. This area handy for those who want to experience the many aspects that Yorkshire has to offer with easy access to both the Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Dales.


The property is situated in the area of Bilsdale, which in well known for its spectacular views. The whole area is a haven for dog owners, keen ramblers and cycle enthusiasts with some challenging pathways and cycle tracks right on your doorstep. There is a lovely scenic walk close by from Clay Bank car park to Round Hill, the highest point on the North York Moors with one of the best view points. The town of Stokesley is 10 miles away and is situated on the River Leven at the foot of the Cleveland Hills and is the gateway to the Moors and the East Yorkshire coast. If you travel 10 miles south from the property along the Droves road you will pass the stunning Rievaulx Abbey, celebrated for its beauty and the tranquillity of its setting. Carrying on along this road you can appreciate other National Park areas including the beautiful market town of Helmsley with its own impressive castle and the 12th century ruins that towers over the town.
