Northern England region

Holiday Cottages Yorkshire covers more than just Yorkshire. Our properties extend from the stunning Lake District with some of the most spectacular walks to be had between the mountains and lakes. Down to Lancashire and into the Yorkshire Dales with quaint villages and farmsteads. Into the Vale of York and into the majestic and unspoilt North York Moors and the Yorkshire Coast with the traditional seaside towns such as Whitby and Scarborough sure to the soul. Then down into the Peak District which is a rambler's heaven and naturalists delight. We have something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Thirsk

This Yorkshire town is famous for the Battle of Byland which took place in 1322 between Scottish and English troops. It was formed as part of the wars for Scottish Independence, and was a victory for the Scots. Today this sleepy village is a great rural location for a cottage holiday.
