Bit Bazaar region Central and Romantic market in Thessaloniki.
If numerous objects from the past can bring up beautiful memories in your mind, if you feel nostalgia embracing you every time you listen to the music of a gramophone, if you simply adore the beauty of fine handmade jewelry and delicately hand-curved wooden furniture, there is a place in Thessalonica that promises to take you to a journey back in time.
Since 1928, right in the heart of the city, in a neighborhood called 'Bit Bazaar', there are several antique shops where you can discover literally thousands of objects from past times. Known as the Thessalonica's 'Monastiraki', Bit Bazaar is the ideal place for all those who love flea markets, for people who love discovering small treasures from the past –such as old postal cards and photos- as well as for everyone who just like to take a walk in a traditional market.
The members of the Thessalonica Society of Antique, Curio and Junk Shop Owners promise to welcome you with reasonable prices for all their merchandise and -most of all- that you will finally include the Bit Bazaar area as a necessary 'don't miss' spot in your visit's map.

"A place to experience the real Greece"
Some might prefer the generic hotel room, but this apartment has the real feel of Greece. The location is perfect. It gives you a chance to shop in the local stores with people other than tourists but be within easy walking distance of most of the attractions of the city. The owners speak English and are friendly and helpful. Within a two minute walk you can find a variety of groceries, restaurants, and cafes. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Thessaloniki.
