The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region

Winter
Snow sure from December to end of April, Méribel is central to the whole of The Three valleys, which now also includes a 4th Valley, Orelle, adjacent to Val Thorens. Les Trois Vallées is the largest linked ski area in the world with over 600kms of well groomed pistes and over 200 linked lifts. Two board parks are easy to access where many competitions take place. After years of skiing here we never get tired and still find new places.

Summer
There are many activities in the area ranging from the extreme sports of river rafting, mountain biking & canyoning, rock climbing etc. Or take lovely long walks through the woods or to remote mountain refuges.

The Three Valleys / Meribel area

Skiing & boarding.
Suitable for all grades, including special areas and facilities for young children & beginners. There are a number of off piste runs & colours for experts and four separate board parks. Two in the Meribel valley & one in each of the other valleys.
All grades of skiers & boarders and even those who are only happy on blue runs, can ski the whole of The Three Valleys

Non skiers. many things to do and see. The new Olympic centre has a large indoor pool with mountain views, a Spa, bowling Alley & Ice Rink.
You can also snow shoe walk, take walks through the woods on prepared paths, with a guide if you wish, husky sledge riding, paragliding & ballooning....... or just enjoy lunch in the sun on the top of the mountains.
Summer activities are for all ages from the many & varied extreme sports to more gentle activites such as swimming in crystal clear lakes and lovely mountain walks.

Sunday times review 19th Nov'07:
A welcome trend in the Alps is the colonisation of lower altitude and more characterful mountain villages that missed the first round of ski resort developments, Les Allues is such a place: a few hairpins down from Méribel, it's a small rough hewn settlement, and by far the nicest place to stay in the valley. If you want a more laid back holiday, mixing awesome on-piste skiing in the world's largest ski area, with a lazy day or two catching the sun, you'll love it"

Catering notes for this group of co-located holiday homes

This is a self-catering set of co-located homes.

If you wish to have some catering I can recommend a superb chef, Yvonne of ‘Dining In: she will come to the chalet, prepare, serve and clear away a 3 course dinner with wine for you for about £20 per person. She can also deliver your pastries & bread for the next day’s breakfasts or whatever else you wish to order.
Also 2 of the 5 restaurants in the village do takeaway meals. So you can be very flexible as the chalet is fully equipped for catering 'at home'

Guestbook for Chalet Champêtre

Garden Apartment
Victor Azcárate from Spain, August ’09 - we want to thank you for your attention and of course, your apartment in Les Allues - Meribel came up our expectations. It is really beautiful and full of details and we wrote some lines in your visit book in this sense. Your phone call at check-in was a surprise for us and the impression from the client side is that you care for all the details and that is very important.

Louis Alexander & family, Jan '09 - "We have been coming to Les Trois Vallées for over 20 years and this is by far the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. We would like to book the same week next year".

Mathew Jean & friends, Jan '09 - "We had a wonderful time in your place and left a nice message in the guest book! It comes highly recommended from us!"

Mary & Andrew Upson & Family, Feb ’09 - "We had a fantastic week in Méribel. The chalet was superb - one of the nicest we have stayed in, and the snow was unreal. We look forward to coming back".

Philip John, UK, Feb ’09 - "Lovely apartment, very much up to expectations and a reasonably quick journey back. Can you you let me know if it is available for next year's half term?".

Anna Walklate & Friends, UK, Feb ’09 - "We had a brilliant week the chalet was excellent!"

Willem Akkerhuys & friends, UK, March ’09 - "Your hospitality has been exceptional. The chalet has been such a wonderful base to explore the 3 valleys. We have to compliment you on the fantastic renovation of the Chalet. It is quite easily also the best equipped and prettiest chalet we have ever stayed in :)"

The Chalet
The Hawkins Family, UK, August '09 - "We all loved your beautiful Chalet and had a wonderful time in Les Allues".

The Sternbuch Family, Israel, August ’09 - We all enjoyed this holiday "to the skies"... This property is not just a rental property, but has a feeling of home: a feeling we had of being a guest of yours!

Chris &Tina Scanlon, UK, July ’09 - Your chalet is superb. We had a fantastic stay and wanted for nothing. Our two boys had a very active holiday, their favourite was the river rafting.

Lesley Buckeridge & Families x14, April ’09 - "Your chalet is absolutely lovely. We felt home from home there and it was comfy and cosy, spacious and charming. You are so smart because you have thought carefully about everything a guest might need and the chalet is extremely well equipped. I honestly can’t think of anything that was not covered".

Martin Sanford & Family, January '09 - "The Chalet is fabulous, perfect in every way. We really appreciated your attention to detail. Definitely 4 star quality. It was a beautiful place to come home to after a great day's skiing and chat around the log fire. The kids loved the separate TV room".

Eli Mashmoor & Family, February '09 - "The Chalet was fantastic, we all really enjoyed it. I have to say once again, thank you for your help before we left to travel out to the Three Valleys and thank you for having such a beautiful Chalet. Everybody enjoyed their stay and would happily return again. Location was perfect, facilities were perfect, and the build quality certainly put a smile on everybody's faces when we arrived right through to the tears from some of the girls when it was time to leave".

Kate Statham, Family & friends, February ’09 - "The chalet was lovely, just felt like home after a hard day on the slopes. I don't think there is anything where it could be improved, you certainly made it the perfect stay".
Brigitte Van-Liere and Families, Holland, March ’09 - "We've had a wonderful holiday! The chalet was above any expectations. I'd love to return next year".

Steve McInally & Family, UK, March ’09 - "We had a wonderful time. Better than we could have imagined and we are interested in booking again. Maybe in the Summer. We really appreciate your very kind attention in all aspects of the rental and wish you every success. With this in mind we would be very happy to recommend your services to friends or family".
