Home description
Le Jarrier Gite offers self catering accommodation in a rural setting. The gite is a recently converted barn which has been renovated to provide a detached holiday home with modern facilities.and a well appointed kitchen. Le Jarrier is set in 2 acres and this provides excellent space for our guests to enjoy in addition to a private garden area with parking for several cars. The gite has a good size and well equipped kitchen and garden room, which provides excellent views of the surrounding countryside from the dining and living room areas. The shower room, with walk-inshower is also on the ground floor as is bedroom 2 with full/adult size (3' wide) bunk beds. On the first floor is a the bedroom with a double bed and a en-suite W/C, giving the property the added benefit of 2 W/C's. There is a Playstation 2 (PS2) in the gite with 2 UK Satellite TV systems (in both the lounge and main bedroom) and DVD player. Heating is provided via electric wall heaters and there are no additional charges for electricity. Bedding and towels are all provided free of charge as is a Welcome Pack including a Bottle of Wine, bread, eggs, milk, butter & jam. The gite also has a Coffee machine and Electric Wine Cooler.

The Loire Valley / Sarthe region
Le Jarrier Gite is situated about a mile and a half from the village of St Georges le Gaultier and provides an excellent base for many types of enjoyable day trips. There are the Vineyards and Chateau of the Loire Valley, the ever popular Zoo at Le Fletch, the famous Le Mans Race Circuit -home of the 24 hour endurance race as well as many cathedrals and places of interest within easy reach. The Sarthe area can provide you with sight seeing at an easy pace, or action packed adventure - it is all available. Our location is less than 20 miles south from the Normandy region, enabling a day trip to the historical Normandy Landing Beaches, and guests can visit Alencon with a good range of shops & twice weekly market. Only a couple of miles west of Le Jarrier is the Mayenne region and the popular Evron, Mayenne and Saint Suzanne to name only a few...... The local roads are excellent and we are also about 20 mins. from the A28 autoroute. Generally speaking, the weather is warmer that that of the UK.
The Alpes Mancelles / Fresney sur Sarthe area
The Alpes Mancelles, only a few kilometres fro Le Jarrier Gite, is a well known area of natural beauty popular with visitors and the village of St Leonard du Bois offers canoeing, tree climbing and horse riding. Within half a mile of Le Jarrier Gite is the viaduct at St Georges le Gaultier, where organised Bungee Jumps are available. The local lake with beach at Sille le Guillaume offers restaurants and bars, boat hire, pedalos, crazy golf and fishing. There is a train ride available to take you around the lake if you prefer a change from walking, and the forest is ideal for walking and cycling. Fresney sur Sarthe has a traditional weekly market and medieval ruins offering an excellent view of the town . A swimming pool and tennis courts are also available at Fresney sur Sarthe.

We are situated just 20 miles from the new A28 Autoroute, enabling an easier / quicker journey if preferred or take the scenic route.

Further details outdoors: As Le Jarrier is set in approx. 2 acres, there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy in addition to the gite garden area. Gite garden furniture includes: parasols, loungers, 2 dining tables and a good size gas BBQ. The gite is also equipped with outdoor lighting and outdoor electricity sockets enabling guests to benefit from the outdoor space. A range of outdoor games are provided in the Summer House at the gite e.g. Giant "Jenga", Croquet, kites, outdoor "Connect 4", Golf clubs/balls, Boules, bat & ball games etc.
The privare parking area is alongside the gite and there easily is room for 2 cars.

A Welcome Pack is provided for your arrival,: Bottle of Wine, French Stick, Butter, Eggs, Milk & Jam. There are also some tea bags, sugar and coffee for your use. Bedding, towels and electricity are all included in the price. Owner is English speaking and is contactable / nearby for advice and information.
Conditions
We offer flexibility and do not have a set change over day. Guest arrivals are after 14.30 hrs and departures should be before 10.30am. However these times could be flexible depending upon other bookings.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
A deposit payment of 25% of the cost of your holiday at LE JARRIER GITE is payable at time of booking.
The balance is to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. A £200 or 250 euro refundable payment is to be made on arrival (either by cash or cheque), this will be returned within 10 days of the end of your stay following checks on the property and contents.
Arrivals after 14.30hrs and departure before 10.30am.
We ask that the gite is left as you find it. However if you prefer, a Cleaning Charge of 35 euros can be paid upon arrival.
We prefer payment in Euros (Cheque / cash) and can also accept payments of Euros and UK Sterling via Papal. Thank you.
