The villa offers a tranquil garden setting around the pool overlooking Phuket's largest national park. Just 5 minutes drive to Blue Canyon or Mission Hills Golf Course and the Western beach of Nai Yang, also part of a National Park. It offers the best snorkelling in Phuket on the reef, which you can walk to at low water. A walk along the unspoilt beach in the natural shade of the trees is a great way to start the day.
The garden has been attractively landscaped with trees, grass, shrubs and orchids, giving a most relaxing atmosphere to soak up and enjoy in the shade of the wrap around covered terrace, to help you unwind during your Holiday.

Airport (absolutely no noise) 8 minutes, main Shopping Malls and International Hospitals 20 minutes. Local shops 5 minutes. Three Marinas within 10 minutes. Blue Canyon Golf Club 5 minutes, Mission Hills Golf Club 5 minutes, Laguna Golf Club 20 minutes. Local Baan Muan Mai market with a deliciours variety of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, and ready cooked take-away food opens 3 days a week on the corner of the village, next to the Aerides Spa/Massage Beauty Saloon / Gym and Coffee shop complex, all within walking distance.

On the East Coast there are several harbours where long tail boats are just waiting to take you to paradise islands, James Bond Island or secluded white powedered sand beaches just a short ride away for a BBQ and wonderful snorkelling.

You can visit Phi Phi Islands or Krabi from those marinas nearby and at Ao Po.

The Phuket Island region

Phuket is best known for its beautiful white soft sand beaches and offshore islands. The temperature in winter never goes below 24 degrees at night, and in the hot/green season (April) never more than 34 degrees.
Visit any time, the weather is always nice, with only the odd shower to contend with in the green season from mid April's Song Krang festival to the Loi Kratong festival at the beginning of November, the start of the dry season and cool North easterly winds.

* Visit the beautifully unspoilt Mainland Tropical Rain Forest area of Khao Sok, just 2 hrs drive North of Phuket, surrounded by stunning limestone Karsts. A good variety of tours are available, from 1 day tour to 3 days and 2 nights. The Phuket Reservoir is held by the Ratchapah Dam - a beautiful area to explore in a long tail boat, or in a canoe along the river. Elephant riding, rubber tree plantations, and many types of activities are available in this area.

Thalang area

NAYANG BEACH: Just 5 minutes by car away (5 kms) is next to the Sirinath National Park. It has a choice of very quiet beaches stretching to the top of the island, or a more popular beach where there are many restaurants with beach chairs and beach club facilities, offering plenty of bars and night life.

JUNGLE TRECKING AND ELEPHANT RIDING : Take a jungle walk in the rain forest nearby with Bang Pae waterfall just 10 minutes away. On the way there, you have the possibility of riding an elephant, and visiting the Gibbon Sanctuary, for gibbons rescued from illegal markets or pets.

GOLFING: Blue Canyon is only 5 minutes drive away, and is a beautiful first class resort offering two 18 hole golf courses. Caddies are provided, and green fees are surprisingly low. Mission Hills is on the East Coast, just 6 minutes drive away, a beautiful resort just to enjoy visiting. Laguna Golf Club is situated at the beautiful Banyan Tree Resort, offering 18 holes, and all the best of resort facilities. Ther are many golfing tournaments taking place all year round at all of these clubs.

DIVING AND SNORKELLING: The Andaman sea has some of the best dive sites in the world, including the pristine SIMILAN ISLANDS, with stunning Coral Reefs and marine life. PADI DIVE SCHOOLS are found at most beaches, including Nai Yang, and attached to the INDIGO PEARL RESORT at the same beach.

CANOE ADVENTURES: You can enjoy navigating your way through narrow passages and small caves with a very good guide amongst the spectacular 'Karst' limestone cliffs, similar to James Bond Island in Phang Gna Bay. A great day out can be organised for a pick up from your home by a local tour guide.

SAILING: You can rent a small boat or take a SUNSET CRUISE from the nearby marinas, there are four of them, one just 5 minutes away, and three others at 15 minutes drive from here.

LOCAL MARKETS: for the best mangoes, papaya, pineaples and other fruits and vegetables, clothes and good ready made snack food, such as deep fried chicken, steamed corn on the cob, fish cakes, Smoked BBQ'd chicken and fresh fish and shellfish. There is one just on the corner of our street, open Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, from 1 p.m. till 7 p.m.

TEMPLES: If you have time, it is worth having a look at the Nai Thong temple close to Thalang. It is a complex of temples, with a historical Buddha that had been unearthed by a lucky man in the main wat, where you can make a wish for the day of the week you are born, buy dropping a coin into the dish indicated in English.
The largest and most important temple is Wat Chalong, only a 25 minutes drive away. Opposite you should visit the huge white marble Buddha high up on the hill overlooking most of Phuket, the No. 1 temple tour in Phuket!

WATER PARK: Will be opening in November at West Palm Springs, close the the Airport, the only water park in Phuket, just 10 minutes away from home.

HORSE RIDING: Is available at Laguna, 20 minutes drive away for a canter along Bang Tao beach or in the National Park.

TENNIS: Is available at Royal Phuket Marina, 10 minutes drive away, which also has the best Gym on the island. The marina offers many restaurants and bars around the marina, from where you can enjoy other activities which take place at weekends through the year, such as jazz and rock festivals, a Christmas fair, and
Art Gallery shows.

LAGUNA: offers a large array of Restaurants, shops and resorts all within 20 minutes drive from home.

PHUKET FANTASEA: the best Nighttime Entertainment show on Phuket, a delight for the whole family, even if you don't bring the children! A Las Vegas-style Theatrical Show combines with the local cultural dancing and circus amusements on stage, including the elephants and small domestic animals!

PHUKET TOWN: Only a 25 minute drive away is fascinating. A 2 hour walk takes you around the Chinese Temples, old colonial style mansions and the heart of the Chinese quarter, with its restaurants and shops with many artefacts for sale. It feels very much like being in an old China town before modernisation took hold!

SHOPPING MALLS: abound along the by-pass road, called :TESCO-LOTUS, CENTRAL, HOMEWORKS, BIG C
One of the most fun malls is in PATONG called JUNG CEYLON (the old name for Phuket). There is always a place to leave the children to have fun paintiing or other activities in the games areas in each of these malls.

PATONG: Famous for its outrageous night-life. Take a late night stroll through the busy streets if you have the energy, and spot the 'lady boys'! (you should visit the SIMON SHOW, a Las Vegas style Cabaret to see them at their best!) It is 35 km away for all the fun you can imagine!

PHUKET Airport just 5 minutes away. You are well placed for visits further afield. Excellent local Airlines, buses and trains allow you to think of a visit to:

BANGKOK: Must do it with endless places to visit such as the Grand Palace, the Floating Market, River Cruises, and the fabulous SIAM CITY shopping centre.

CHIANG MAI: in the North of Thailand. The Old City is a delight for the best of Thai culturual activities and sights. Trips to see the Hill Tribes, and the Golden Triangle area where Thailand, Burma and Laos all meet.

ANGKOR WAT: in Cambodia, one of the most interesting historial sites with its many temples to be seen in Asia.

* The villa has been furnished to a very high standard, including a fully fitted kitchen with all appliances, including washing machine and dryer.

* All of the villa is Air Conditioned, with celing fans in every room. Good insulation, and double glazing keeps rooms cool in the hot season of April and May.

** The villa has three double bedrooms. One with patio doors overlooking the garden and fountain, the other overlooking the pool. Both have en-suite shower rooms. A third bedroom is fitted with a two sofa beds or another double bed as required.

* The features are attractively highlited at night around the pool and inside the villa.

* The full length concertina windows open wide from all the rooms, allowing the cool tropical breeze to pervade the area, with the fountain adding a cooling touch to the atmosphere. Orchids surround the pool.

* The villa has two kitchens, one close to the dining area, the other can be closed off to keep out the heat from the oven and gas cooker if used for frying etc. It is also used as the utility room for the washing machine and dryer. An outside drying area behind the house is concealed from view.

*The villa has a huge wrap around terrace for the pool which has its own jacuzzi, and the garden wraps around three sides.

*TheSpa/Sauna/ Massage/ Gym/Beauty Salon are in the village complex, called AERIDES, where qualified personnel offer an hour's oil massage for just 450 Baht, or a reflexology and neck massage for just 250 Baht. The facilities at the Spa are as good as those at top end hotel resorts, but only a tenth a tenth of the price! The Gym also offers a steam room.

*The Villa is beautifully located in a walled and gated Tropical garden.

* Strictly no smoking permitted, except outside on the Terrace

* Although the villa has a few steps, and not accessible for a wheelchair, it is reasonably accessible for a person with impaired mobility.

* All facilites are available throughout the year. Maid service is included 3 times a week. We can arrange for her to cook Thai food and wash up for you if required at extra cost. We can also arrange an English speaking driver upon request. No pets allowed, but our street dog (well trained and cared for border collie) just might adopt you if you decide you like him!


* The Villa and pool is cleaned every two days. The Pool cleaner and gardener speaks English,

* Nearby friends and neighbours also speak English and can offer advice and help if we are not available.

*Sheets and towels are changed as required.

* CAR HIRE: Can be arranged at a very reasonable charge - for approximately 900 Baht a day. The driver will collect you from the airport, or deliver the car to your home. The rate is 500 Baht a day for a monthly booking.
Details of where to go and maps indicating places to visit will be available in the house.

* Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.

* Refundable security deposit of £500 required at the time of the deposit, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection and meter reading)..

Electricity is included up to the sum of 3,000 Baht per week. Anything extra is deducted from the deposit.

*To confirm booking, send deposit for 50% of the overall rate.
* Balance due 4 weeks prior to the start of your Holiday
*Payment to be made by Bank Transfer.
*Cancellations and Refunds: Between 4-8 weeks Deposit refunded. 2-4 weeks no refund, other than breakage deposit.
