Luxury self catering cabin set in private game reserve, where the zebras literally come to welcome you! A birder's paradise. Lovely bush walks and African sunsets. Surprise visits to the garden by Eland, warthog, impala, duiker and many more.

An African experience second to none! Safe, peaceful and very private. The children will explore for hours! The natural bushveld is so untouched and the free roaming wildlife gives one the opportunity to experience creation at its source. Go to bed and wake up to the calls of the wild.

The Limpopo Province region

The World Cup Soccer 2010 (11th June - 25th June) is being held in South Africa and what a wonderful opportunity to extend your visit!

Very hot summers with frequent afternoon thundershowers. Winter temperatures are significantly cooler with clear sunny days. (Pack warm clothes for winter months) The Waterberg area is malaria-free.

Most major shopping centres are open on Saturdays and Sundays. There are several banks and ATMs, supermarkets, clothes, jewelry, lifestyle, speciality stores and a number of good restuatants and butcheries. Curios shopping too! The closest shopping mall is at Thabazimbi which is 52 kms away.

The Aventura resort is 72 kms from Leeupoort at Bela Bela (Previously known and shown on the map as "Warmbad" ), where you can enjoy soaking your weary bones in the natural hot spring pools. Loads of fun water rides a wave pool and paddle boats for young and old to enjoy (A very clean and safe facility!)

All main roads are tarred with some secondary soft sandy roads which are suitable to most vehicles.

The Carousel Casino is within an hour and a half's drive as well as the world renowned Lost Palace at Sun City.

Viewing of the big five (5) can be done at Marakele National Game Reserve. Visit the Thabakwena Crocodile farm which is the largest in South Africa. Make bookings for horseriding, 4x4 trails, hot air ballooning over Mabula Game lodge (Awesome!), bush picnics and clay target shooting. Golfing enthusiasts have a choice of five 9 - 18 hole golf courses (By appointment only)

Thabazimbi / Leeupoort area

"Zebra on my stoep" is described by our visitors as 'A little piece of Heaven". The wildlife roam feely giving you surprising sightings and "visits". These allow you to get up close and personal with nature. Witness exquisite sunrises and sunsets which make for perfect photo opportunities of our African skies! Crystal clear evening skies allow for breathtaking star gazing.

Choose one of the three (3) pools at the main gate and caravan park to cool yourself down after lazing under the African sun (remember the sun block!) Dine out at the local pub/restaurant and stock up on essentials at the general supply and liquor store at the main entrance. The only sounds you will go to bed with and wake up to will be those of the bushveld. A truly authentic and unforgettable African experience...

We are prepared to welcome you personally at Oliver Thambo International Airport (Johannesburg). Car hire is essential and we can provide you with a GPS system.

Comfortable, open plan lounge dining and kitchen area. Kitchen fully equipped including 10 cup coffee machine and healthy juicer. Spot the wildlife whilst dining in front of an open window. DVDs, games and puzzles for the whole family to enjoy. All rooms are air-conditioned for those African summer days and winter nights.

Daily house keeping available. Washing and ironing at a nominal fee. Towels and bedding changed once a week. Pool towels included.

Sit around the bonfire and roast the marshmallows! Explore the reserve on one of our four mountain bikes... don't forget to take the binoculars and camera along! Relax and unwind in the hammocks with a good book and/or glass of wine. Clear evening skies allow for spectacular viewing of stars, moon craters and milky ways like you have never seen! Early morning bush walks with flask coffee at the dam... aaahhh!

Guest 2: The opportunity to experience 'Zebra on my stoep" has left a deep imprint on our hearts. One realises how blessed we are to to see nature so untouched...

Guest 3: ... the boys clocked thousands of miles on the bikes and thoroughly enjoyed the alternative lifestyle to TV and Playstation! Lisa and I clocked up some miles too, not all on the bikes but mostly on the hammocks and most often "charged " with pink juice...

Guest 4: I enjoyed sharing a cup of tea with 30 mongoose! The baby Nyala licking mom's hand was awesome too!
