The Central England/Cotswolds region

Foxes Barn is situated in a small village on the outskirts of Medieval Tewkesbury, which is well located to explore the Forest of Dean, The Wye Valley and Stratford upon Avon.

Cheltenham Spa is only a 10 minute car journey and therefore Foxes Barn could be a good base for Cheltenham Gold Cup

The M5 and M50 are easily accessible and therefore make exploring the surrounding area easy.

Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury is a beautiful medieval town with lots of shops, restaurants and pubs.

It is also unique in having 2 rivers that converge around it, The Severn and The Avon, so there are many riverside walks to explore.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup in March, The Food and Drink fesival in May and the Medieval Festival in July are all well worth a visit.

"Lovely place - convenient but just out of the hustle bustle"

Enjoyed our stay at the barn. Convenient to Tewkesbury, but also just a few metres off the motorway. We stayed 3 nights and found this to be central for a day trip to South Wales and another day trip to Worcester/Stratford/Cotswolds. Had all the facilities we required for cooking/washing and wireless for the kids. Would stay again if in the region.

"We didn't want to leave this lovely barn!"

Last minute booking which exceeded our expectations! The facilities are excellent, clean, everything you needed and the welcome pack was brilliant - the eggs & the scones, jam and cream meant we didn't have to go out shopping the first evening. The log fire in the lounge makes it a really cozy place. The WiFi meant we able to keep in touch with everyone.
We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. Mark & Liz were very friendly and helped us with anything we needed including jump starting our car.
We had a wheelchair user with us and the downstairs bedroom and shower room was ideal. Lovely big garden and plenty of fields for our dog to run around. We were able to have family come and visit which included a toddler - the spacious & level flooring meant it was safe for her to run around.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily come back again. Thank you Mark, Liz & family for making us so welcome.

"The Perfect Place for a Family Gathering"

We booked the barn hoping the accommodation would prove to be suitable for a flexible family reunion, in one of our favourite areas, and were not disappointed. The barn is spacious and very comfortable. As the English weather can not be relied upon to be favourable, a retreat with a snug log fire, new games and books provided, and areas for people to relax and do their own thing is the perfect solution. Mark and Liz provided us with a generous welcome and responded positively to every request. We would love to go back!

"A large beautifully converted barn with lots of character and country views!"

Foxes Barn was our base for a recent wedding we attended in Tewkesbury and we weren't disappointed. We stayed there for 2 nights and will certainly be returning again in the very near future as we had an excellent time. Foxes Barn was close to our wedding venue and also in close proximity to the town centre and various walks which meant there was always plenty to do. The inside of the barn has been finished to a very high standard and the accomodation on offer was so much better than some of the over priced hotels in the area we have previously stayed in. If this isn't the best value for money accomodation in Tewksbury............I'd like to see what is!

"Lovely barn conversion in peaceful countryside"

A very comfortable barn conversion with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. The very spacious kitchen/dining room even has a full size fridge freezer so if you're staying for more than a couple of days you can just shop once as there is plenty of room to store your groceries. The lounge has plenty of comfy seating and is light and airy with views over the owners garden to the countryside beyond. The bedrooms are spacious and have cosy duvets with extra throws if required and good sized drawer and wardrobe space. The bathroom downstairs and en-suite upstairs are both excellent, both were spotlessly clean and had ample hot water. The shower in the downstairs bathroom was amazing and when you finally dragged yourself from it there were plenty of fluffy towels provided too.
The owners were very friendly and had left us a welcome tray in the kitchen with scones, jam and cream also tea, coffee, milk, wine and fantastic fresh eggs from the resident chickens. We would recommend the barn to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday that is in easy reach of all the lovely cotswold towns and villages.
