"Christmas at the Swallows"
We booked and spent four weeks over Christmas 2013 and New Year 2014 at the Swallows in Beckford. The house was larger than expected and one of the nicest property's we have rented. If we could we would not only return but live in this property and Beckford. The accommodation was perfect and everything that went with the property was perfect. The owners were great.
Coming from NZ we wanted a family Christmas. We had lunch on Christmas day at the Beckford Inn and the remainder of the day at the Swallows - it was just what we had wished for. Don't forget to visit the the Yew Tree Pub just up the road great food and beer and even better ice cream.
The Swallows and the owners were everything we had wanted and wished for. I a sure on our next visit to the UK we will not hesitate to book again. Thank you to the owners.

"Fantastic cottage, fantastic landlords, fantastic location."
What a gorgeous property. So clean, cosy, charming. It had everything we needed and was a delight. How we have missed central heating in New Zealand! Lovely village with just enough of the basic essentials required (pub, deli, post office...). Superb Yew Tree Inn just up the road for wonderful meals in a cosy and beautiful setting and with a 'ripper' of a landlord.

What a lovely stay! The photos hardly do the accommodation justice. Everything is new, finish in the cottage is very high and attention to detail superb. Lovely furnishings and the fussball table in the garage was a bonus (son liked this!). Local pubs were good too for eating out - try the Star Inn or the Teddington Arms. Owners very welcoming and then left us to it, but always on hand to help, especially when we had to break up our stay and return home for a funeral. Better still, they even posted us my daughter's coat when we left it behind.
We could have done with the heating being on for a little before we arrived (we stayed during the coldest Easter on record!) but otherwise everything was ideal and we can't recommend this accommodation enough.

"What an AWESOME place!"
First I must say I almost forgot to write this review and that would have been a shame, because this place was just perfect!!! Since I booked this online from the States and knew little about England I wanted something centrally located. We stayed 10 days and had ample opportunity to find fault, but there are NONE. The perfect location for seeing all of the UK. We went all the way to Warrington, North, and all the way South to Folkstone. . Although our trip was mostly genealogy we still had time for the Wedgewood Factory, the Warrick Castle and Stone Hedge. The owners were great, Susan even provided us with a converter/transformer for charging our phones, cameras, and computer. Almost brand new the house has new appliances, and furnishings, nice yard with privacy fence and alarm system. Mostly appreciated was WiFi so we could communicate with family back in the States. Thank you so much Susan for providing this great property!
