Home description

Jawhara Smir apartment complex is sorrounded on the one side by the Mediterranean sea and has a back dropof wounderful green hills. It is situated next door to Marina Smir. A short stroll of 300m and you will find one of Europe best marinas with all its bars and cafe and the beach with its miles of soft golden sand. The apartment has a sunny aspect and has a sea view overlooking the Med Coast line and the mountains behind. The pool attached to the complex is Olympic size but for those who like the sand, the beach is only 300m away with its miles of golden sand.

Only a short stroll in the evening will take you along the Marina with all its fashionable restaurants and shops. But you may decide to take a short taxi ride to M'Diqe or Tetouan to experience real Morocco and all it has to offer.

The Tangier/Rif Mountains region

Tamuda Bay is the stretch of coast along M’diq-Fnideq, a favourite holiday destination of the Moroccan royal family and King Mohamed VI who spends all his summers either on a jet ski or a boat along this residential coast. Only 5 miles from Spanish Ceuta you can enjoy duty free shopping, casino, and traditional Spanish bars and restaurants. Temperatures are consistent all year with extremeley mild winters and highs generally above 20°C but the sea breeze will help you feel pleasantly cool in the African summer heat. It is said that Morocco has on average over 330 days of sunshine each year as it has the same climate as southern Spain.

Be ready for a suprise as this is not what you would expect: an arid and desert land, but a green and scenic area with lots of bays, beaches and coves to explore. Ideal for those who like beach holidays as well as those who what to go off and explore.

Tetouan / Tamuda Bay area

TETOUAN: Is exactly what you would expect with the hussle and bussle of an old Moroccan city. Plenty to do and see. There is a superb example of a Kasbah, a market place of stalls with the sounds, colours, tastes and atmosphere of a time gone by. Tetouan is known locally as 'white dove' due to all the white buildings.

CHEFCHOUAN: The maze of narrow streets and alleyways and with their white and indigo limewashed houses, with red tiled roofs, small squares, make this a delightful town to visit. There are plenty of excellent cafe, restaurants, craft shops and many other beautiful sights to see.

How to get there

This apartment is set halfway between Ceuta the spanish enclave on the tip of Morocco and Tetouan city on the Mediterranean coast and approx 30 kilometres from Tangiers airport.

Gibraltar is only 40 kilometers across the sea and the Costa del Sol, Fly direct into Tangiers where a taxi can be arranged to pick you up or Fly to Gibraltar and then get a short ferry crossing to Ceuta and cross the border into Morocco. It is then a short taxi ride to Tamuda bay.

A beautifully appointed apartment with outstanding views. This apartment is furnished to the highest quality and the resort is also 4 star.

The 2 bedrooms will provide private sleeping arrangements for 4 but there are 2 sofas which can also be used as single beds.

Set on the second floor the coastal views off the sunny terrace are outstanding, watching the boats out to sea.

There is dedicated private parking and the complex is a gated complex with 24 hour security. It has a tranquil feel and you will feel relaxed and comfortable in this air conditioned apartment.

Set in beautifully kept private gardens the complex boasts a huge swimming pool with a large patio area with ample space and facilities to sun bathe.

The pool is only a few steps away from your apartment. The complex has lovely walks aroud it perimeter so you can enjoy a stroll without leaving the complex.

However if you wish to experience what Morocco really has to offer, excursions can be arranged for you to Chechaouen, Tangier or even the Atlas Mountains. Why not take a a camel back ride or just relax and enjoy the tranquile atmosphere. These can be arranged by the local agent or hotel. At the Marina during high season you can also arrange fishing trips, scuba diving, or jet-skiing.

A welcome pack can be arranged for you however there is a large british style supermarket near by in M'Dqu. An English speaking taxi driver and representative can be arranged to meet you on arrival. The swimming pool is open from mid June to late September.

Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.

Refundable breakages deposit of £30 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

25% of rental fee due six weeks before your stay to secure booking.

There is no lift in the apartment building.
