BookThe Tangier/Rif Mountains region
The Mediterranean area of Morocco is dedicated to tourism, everything is pristine, street cleaners are in evidence everywhere, with gardeners watering and tending the beautiful, landscaped verges and recreation areas. The roundabouts have either lights, fountains or colourful flowers and palm trees.
The Rif Mountains, which are the back-drop of this area, are green and lush. If you think Morocco is all desert, think again, the scenery is fabulous with lakes, mountain streams, forests and colourful picturesque towns and villages.
We have seen so many wonderful changes over the last two years; new pedestrian foot bridges, demonstrating fascinating Moorish architecture, the extension of the corniche and new restaurants opening
The Tetouan / Marina Smir area
Morocco is full of surprises and the Mediterranean coast is a superb destination for golden beaches with safe swimming, mountain climbing, golf, pony trekking, water park, jet ski, sailing, deep sea fishing, you name it, Morocco has it all. This country has very little crime and you can feel safe when going out at night.
Morocco’s most fashionable marina and resort, Marina Smir, was opened in 1991. Developed by a Spanish development group to the same standards as those found on the Costa del Sol, the marina offers first-class facilities for yachtsmen and visiting tourists who wish to enjoy a Mediterranean resort with a difference.
King Mohammed VI has spent millions on the corniche, architecture and infrastucture of Tamuda Bay, where the King himself has his summer palace a short distance from M'Diq, which is at the end of Tamuda Bay.
M'Diq was originally a small fishing port but a new fashionable town has sprung up alongside. Visit in July and August to see the stunning light show, stroll along the corniche teeming with restaurants, coffee shops, tea houses, pop in to the famous Piano Bar at The Golden Beach Hotel and relax with a refreshing glass of Moroccan beer or tipple of your choice.
On the other side of the peninsular of M'Diq is the bay of Cabo Negro, with its beautiful golden sands, stretching all the way to Martil, with its own corniche, restaurants, coffee shops, tea houses etc. The beach festival at Martil, with its fairground rides and market stalls, commences at the beginning of July and ends in mid August.
In contrast, visit Tetouan's famous labarinthine medina and ancient architecture, with souks, bazaars and street traders, where you can haggle for your bargains in leather goods, ceramics, designer clothes etc.
Working in harmony with Golf Residential http://www.golfresidencial.com a real estate agent dealing with properties located close to top class golf courses in various parts of the world, golf enthusiasts can enjoy their hobby, whilst their families can relax on the nearby golden beaches or swimming pools within the complexes, Morocco Beach Rentals is situated in Cabo Negro, between the old fishing town of M'Diq and the City of Tetouan, being little more than one hour's drive from Tangier Airport and 25 minutes from Ceuta Border with Morocco.
On-site amenities:
Restaurant, beachside snack bar, shops, private entrance to the beach, 4 swimming pools with children's area, tennis court and 5-aside football pitch
Nearby:
Marina, restaurants, aqua park, go-kart track, scuba diving, jet ski
The Royal Cabo Negro Golf Course is approximately 20 minutes drive.

The Royal Cabo Negro Golf Course
The famous Royal Cabo Negro professional golf course is only 5 minutes walk away from our apartments at Bahia del Cabo, which you can see in the distance on this picture, just below and to the right of the highest point of Cabo Negro.
This internationally renowned golf course is par 72 and is used by King Mohammed VI when on his summer vacation.
