This luxury penthouse apartment (brand new June 2010) - now with secure wi-fi on request, is ideal for those seeking private sunbathing and al fresco dining. The centrepiece of the extensive private rooftop dining area is a classic dining suite within a shaded pergola, with easy to use gas barbeque. The large private sunbathing rooftop terrace comes fully equipped with 6 sun-loungers. This rooftop terrace is lit up in the evenings and there are views of the sea and the pool from the terrace.
There is also a second, furnished, private terrace at the other side (front) of the apartment, with access directly by patio doors from the lounge and master bedroom, where guests can enjoy the sunset, and the view of the mountain-top Stavravouni Monastery in the distance, in quiet privacy
The apartment itself has one double and one twin bedroom, but with additional double sofa bed in the lounge. There is full air conditioning/heating, ample cupboard space, high spec furnishings, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, SatelliteTV, multi-regional DVD player and PlayStation 2 with some games, a Safe and all the amenities of a luxury apartment. The complex also has an on site cafe/snack bar serving meals into the evening with free wi-fi, and entertainment on selected nights in the high season.

The interior of this very light, airy and spacious apartment has been furnished by the owners to a very high standard, with leather lounge suite, high quality bedroom furnishings and fitted bedroom wardrobes, and fully equipped kitchen.
The bathroom is fully tiled with bath, shower and shower screen. The air conditioning/heating is high spec and operated throughout by remote control.
The interior benefits from tasteful pictures, mirrors and rugs which make this a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay, and in which you will immediately feel at home.

The centrepiece of this penthouse apartment is its spacious and luxuriously furnished and equipped private outdoor space. There are two large, and beautifully tiled and furnished, terrace areas.
The main large private rooftop terrace is at the rear of the apartment and faces towards the pool area and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. Since this terrace is both south facing and on the roof means that it benefits from constant sunshine almost all year round. The private sunbathing section of this terrace is very spacious and has six reclining sun-loungers for guests' use. Pool towels are also provided for each guest. This terrace also has a shaded pergola dining area, furnished by a dining suite which sits 6 people in luxurious comfort and style, with easy to use, gas-fired barbeque
The second terrace is at the other side of the apartment, accessed directly by patio doors from the master bedroom and the lounge. This terrace is furnished with stylish rattan cane seating and coffee table, plus dining table and chairs seating 6, and has inland mountain views, including one of Cyprus' oldest and most venerable monasteries, the mountain-top Stavravouni Monastery.
The Elysian Fields Spa complex, accessed by lift down from the penthouse, has a large outdoor pool, a separate children's pool, a children's play area and well maintained and attractively landscaped lounging areas with ample sunbeds and umbrellas (free of charge).
There is also a spectacular waterfall feature in the area which leads down to the underground Spa resort. The Spa itself is one of the most stylishly equipped spa complexes of its sort, and a very unusual feature in a private apartment complex. The spa contains a heated indoor pool with access to the adjacent cooling waterfall, a spacious and fully equipped gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, massage room, hairdressing salon, and a range of treatment rooms and facilities, operated by fully trained staff (charges are paid locally at time of use) - July 2013 Spa/Gym closed for the time being.
There is also a very nice cafe/snack bar serving drinks and meals throughout the day and evening in the resort
There is also a covered parking space for your exclusive use a few yards from the lift which leads to the apartment.
The Larnaca region
The city of Larnaca is a short drive from the apartment. Larnaca is both an ancient city, reputedly the oldest in Cyprus, and a lively, cosmopolitan metropolis. It is the ancient capital of Cyprus, having been an inhabited city as far back as 3,000 BC.
Among its features are – the marina, coastal promenade and beachfront with Blue Flag beaches, behind which are a range of top quality restaurants, clubs, bars and shops; the ancient “old town”, with its remarkably well preserved medieval fort, churches and mosque and narrow streets full of charming shops, restaurants and bars; and the modern city centre with its lively nightlife and household shopping names including Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, and a host of very stylish Cypriot shops.
Larnaca and Tersefanou are located in the centre of Cyprus. The apartment could not be better placed for access (by car) to the rest of the attractions of the island – the best beaches of the south east coast; the charmingly peaceful traditional villages of the central plain; the cosmopolitan city centres of Larnaca, Limassol and the capital Nicosia; the Troodos mountains (with skiing in winter months) and monasteries; the vineyards of the Troodos foothills just due north of Limasssol; the ancient Greek and Roman historic sites dotted along the south west coast and leading up to Paphos on the west coast. Due north, within a very short drive, lie the picturesque “lace villages” of the Lefkara area, and then beyond that due north the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia (about 30 minutes from the apartment).
Cyprus is a big island, but being based in Tersefanou offers easy access to everything in Cyprus, with journey times to all of these attractions rarely more than an hour, and often much less. The main motorway network is within 10 minutes of the apartment, to allow guests to see more of this ancient, historic, and sun-drenched island.
This penthouse experience offers a different type of Mediterranean holiday. The Elysian Fields Spa Resort is in the small village of Tersefanou, a short distance from the larger village of Kiti, and a 15 minute drive from the centre of the ancient and modern bustling city of Larnaca.
Tersefanou remains a traditional Cypriot village. Although there are a number of apartment complexes springing up around the village (in anticipation of the new proposed PGA Championship Golf Course - scheduled completion not known yet), Tersefanou retains its traditional charm, with very old and beautiful Greek Orthodox church, coffee houses, and some very nice restaurants serving delicious local cuisine.
The next door town of Kiti has a number of very good restaurants, bars and shops. It is also home to one of the oldest and best preserved medieval churches in the eastern Mediterranean, Ayios Angelikos, which is in fact very close to the apartment. There are also the coastal villages of Pervolia, Menou and Faros just a short distance further on toward the sea from Kiti.
A short walk from the apartment is the "Dreamland" children's playground resort, with bouncy castles, swimming pool, cafes etc
There are a range of beaches within the area, both on the Tersefanou side of Larnaca and on the other side of the city going towards Ayia Napa.

"Lovely relaxed atmosphere in stunning surroundings"
2nd trip this year to this apartment. Very well furnished and comfortable. Was a bit concerned that it was near the bar, however this proved not to be a problem. The swimming pool was lovely and clean, only complaint was that it was deep throughout so my mum who is a non swimmer wasn't able to enjoy it.
The development is well maintained, the gardens are lovely and all set in peaceful surroundings. Would definitely recommend this area of Cyprus.

"Great accommodation. Weather atrocious."
The apartment is set in a nice complex in a small village not far from the airport. A little bit of aircraft noise but not enough to really spoil our stay. The complex was not fully occupied when we went in early April and at least 50% of the properties appear to be unsold. And the weather was atrocious - heavy rain, freezing temperatures, windy and virtually no sun. Who could have predicted that!!
However, we found the apartment to be well equipped with everything we needed, well furnished as well. Spacious rooms and plenty of space. Dining table and chairs and 2 good sized sofas. A very large roof terrace with a great barbeque (we barbequed in almost freezing temperatures one night). It is a pity the satellite TV was mainly Arabic channels and not Sky although there wera a couple of stations showing english/US speaking films. This but did not really bother us, although we couldn't sit outside at night/daytime due to the weather. Also has a DVD library but recommend taking your own if you get the sort of weather we had. Has air conditioning in all rooms and we needed it on HOT for the time we were there, worked well in 3 hour shifts.
We would definately go back and although the village is a bit on the dull side at that time of year, we did find a great restaurant in a nearby village, Perivolia, that served great food, and had dancing etc. Friendly and such reasonable prices.
Be aware the golf course is not built and will probably not be completed for at least 3 years according to the local ex-pats we spoke to..
Thank you very much for your review. You ACTUALLY stayed in the apartment from 5 - 12 March and not April, as I was there myself at that time and the weather was fine. I am glad you enjoyed the comfort of the apartment and the large terraces. Sky TV is not available in any holiday let in Cyprus unless you have a huge dish, which is why it is mostly shown in bars etc.
