The Larnaca region
This penthouse is located in Regal Gardens, near the village of Tersefanou. It is a 5 minute walk into the village where there are local restaurants and grocery shops. Or, if you prefer, it is a 5 minute drive down the hill into Kiti where many more shops and restaurants are available.
From Kiti, it is only a few minutes' drive to the beach. Or, if you prefer, use our site's pool or tennis courts... you'll probably be the only ones there as most of these apartments are not lived in all year long.
If you prefer more activity, it is only a 15 minute drive into Larnaca. At the seafront in Larnaca, you will have many choices for places to eat and shops in which to leisurely peruse for your "wants" and "needs". There are plenty of pubs, too. Everyone speaks English so it is easy to find what you're looking or.
The climate is sunny nearly all year long and there are lots of places of interest to suit all tastes.
People have been living around the site of Larnaca for nearly 6,000 years. There are many amazing archeological sites, such as Kition, which offer a good understanding of life in this port town several millennia ago. The city’s museums compliment these ancient sites with a plethora of interesting artefacts and information about the early Cypriot culture. Apart from the rich history, Larnaca is best known for the excellent beaches and clear seas which surround the city. Relatively undiscovered, Larnaca is an ideal destination for both culture and beachside lounging.
It’s fairly easy to get out and see a lot of Cyprus, since the island isnt that big. Apart from the other interesting towns and ancient sites scattered around the island, there are miles and miles of beautiful, unpopulated Mediterranean coastline to enjoy. The Troodos Mountains in the interior, with their quaint, rustic villages, are another wonderful area to explore. Larnaca makes a great base from which to venture out into the fascinating hinterland of Cyprus.
Most of the activities around Larnaca involve the sea and the many beaches which surround the city. This is a truly chilled-out town, so you won’t find much else to do except sunbathe, swim and enjoy the water sports on offer here, but that’s the beauty of Larnaca. The best activity around is leisure.
Larnaca is not considered a dangerous place to visit and shouldn’t present any safety issues for the average visitor. However, during the brief summer period, the number of tourists in the larger towns and cities greatly increases and this offers an opportunity for a few petty thieves to ply their trade.
