Villa Oliveto is conviently situated halfway up the hillside of Monte Giove in a private and exclusive residential area. A typical whitewashed Mediterranean villa surrounded by acres of lush century-old olive groves which are part of the villa's garden with breathtaking views over the temple, the old town and of course the sea.
The house consists of 3 large bedrooms, one large living room with log fire come dining room,one bathroom ,one bathroom with shower , kitchen and utility room.Throughout the house are the famous hand made Vietri tiles with lovely bright colours.
The terrace that surrounds most of the house is ideal if one wants to enjoy an outdoor barbecue or simply lie back and enjoy the view . The balcony has a wooden table and chairs and two wooden sun -loungers where at night there is always a nice breeze.
The long stretch of Terracina's golden sandy beach is 5minutes by car or twenty minutes walking distance (1.5 kilometres): The old town full of art and culture lovely bars and restaurants is walking distance(1 kilometre) and the centre of Terracina with its lovely shops, bars etc is walking distance(1.5 kilometre).

The Lazio region
Lazio with it's capital Rome, is one of the most interesting Italian regions to visit. Not only will you be able to delve into the wonders of ancient Rome and explore the quaint little hamlets that surround it, but you will also be able to travel down the beautiful coast overlooking the sparkling Tyrrhenian sea.
Lazio is full of places to visit including The Pontine Islands that are in front of Terracina , daily ferries leave from Terracina and come back in the evening. Sperlonga with its grotta of Tiberius, Gaeta with the split mountain, Fosanova with its beautiful abbey and many more.
Terracina Mare / Seaside Resort area
Terracina is located on the coast of southern Lazio, halfway between Rome and Naples. Its origins are perhaps even more ancient than Rome's: It was first named Anxur by the Volscians who founded it, until it passed into Roman hands.
The old part of Terracina is jam packed with Roman ruins and medieval buildings and embracing a breathtaking 2,000 year old piazza where in the summer most nights you have musical and threatrical events.
In July usually the 3rd Saturday of that month we have the Festa del Mare where they have the procession of all the fishermen of Terracina . The procession leaves from the S.Salvatore church with fishermen carrying the statue of the Madonna del Carmine, patron saint of the fishermen and proceeds down to the harbour where the procession continues out to sea in their fishing boats all brightly decorated with flags and fairly lights for the occassion. All are invited to join in on the procession. At midnight there is a fantasctic display of fireworks.
Nestled ontop of mount St. Angelo you can find the Temple of Jupiter that dates back to B.C., a unique site in Italy today .The temples's vaults are still standing and are fronted by an amazing terrace from where the view extends down the coast as far as the dramatic profiles of the volcano Vesuvius and on clear days and as far as the Island of Ischia.
Every day we have the local fruit , vegetable and fish maket all fresh and local produce. Every Thursday we have the local market where you can buy clothes,shoes, leather goods, a bit of everything at very good prices. In the centre of Terracina its full of nice shops where you can buy Dolce Gabbana, Prada, Cavalli and many more designer labels. If you like shopping we have two outlets not far ,Castel Romano and Valmontone where you can get great bargains on all the top designer labels.
Every week you can book excursions to Rome, Pompei, Capri, Monte Cassino and to the Island of Ponza leaving from Terracina.If you like scuba diving you can hire the equipment at the diving school in Terracina.

We enjoyed our holiday in your lovely villa, it was just perfect,so peaceful lovely views plenty of space and the villa had everything we could possibly want. We loved sittting out in the balcony looking over the town.Terracina has plenty to see and do and not touristy at all .The beach was gorgeous miles and miles of sand.We will certainly recommend Terracina and Villa Oliveto to family and friends.
