The region of Lazio is located along the west coast of central Italy. It was the ancient home of the Etruscans and then the centre of the Roman Empire! *The Sea Sound apartment * is a recently renovated 950 sq ft apartment a few steps from a lovely sandy beach in Terracina ( beach front side).
Beautifully designed and professionally decorated during the remodelling of 2009, this sunny apartment is elegantly and simply furnished; it has a warm and inviting feeling!
Everything in this vacation flat is brand new, and it's provided with anything you may need to feel home. "The Sea Sound" has central heating and includes:
* two bedrooms each with a HD 22" flat screen TV and quiet air conditioning, dresser or wardrobe. * two full bathrooms. * a large well fitted kitchen. * a spacious living area with a HD 32" screen TV, a pull out couch and air conditioning. * a laundry room. * a nice balcony that overlooks the sea and trees. * a common terrace on the top floor offers incredible views.
It sleeps 5 comfortably in the bedrooms and up to 7 with the sofa-bed in the living room. Located right on the beach "The Sea Sound" is also within walking distance of fabulous restaurants, wonderful archaeological sites and world-class shopping.

The Lazio region
Terracina is located at the west coast of Italy at the Tyrrhenian Ocean, about half-way between Roma (100km) and Napoli (120km) and our house is ideally located as a touring base to visit those two wonderful cities. Pompeii and the Vesuvio volcano are pretty close too (150km).

Historical sightseeing is a given: Museo di Sperlonga, Castello di Itri, the antique handy crafts in Gaeta, Tivoli, Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este - a villa for cardinal d'Este, built from the shell of a Benedictine monastery. All between 20 minutes and about an hour away from Terracina. The cloister of Fossanova has an incredible architectural and spiritual beauty.
The famous film 'Il nome della rosa' by Umberto Eco with Sean Connery was shot here. The monks still live and work in that monastery. You can buy their home-made wine, honey, olive oil and infusions. There are several medieval hill towns around Terracina, of which each one is famous for a different cultural event or food: Sermoneta for art galleries and concerts, Sezze Romano for the celebration of the artichoke and the procession with actors at easter, Bassiano for its prosciutto and Maenza for its boletus edulis (funghi porcini) dishes.

For those who like their Italy a bit more Italian, the southern half of the boot holds many treasures, and few of them have been discovered, far less overrun by tourists.
Our place in Terracina is perfectly located as touring base to visit the real Italy.
It is really a particular experience visiting the upper historic city centre of Terracina; it is like travelling through the thousands events which marked the history from ancient times to our days. Every stone, building, road reminds events and famous people of the past.
Terracina is perfect for whoever loves sport. You can find many tennis courts, soccer and volley fields as well as trekking excursions. In the surroundings there are free climbing, windsurf, diving, rowing, paragliding, sail and canoe courses.
As far as night-life in Terracina is concerned, being tourist place, there's many possibilities, you can enjoy the live music on beach, restaurants, cinemas, pubs and discotheques as well. All of this makes Terracina an important and genuine tourist resort that is suitable for everyone regardless what age you are or what interest you have!
How to get there
- Fly to Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airport and rent a car for your convenience!Terracina is only 70 min away and it's very easy to reach!
- Fly to Napoli airport and rent a car for your convenience! Terracina is 120 min away and it is all in freeway!
- Fly to Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airport, take a 45 min train to Termini train station and take one to Terracina (€ 8,40)

Further details indoors: *The Sea Sound apartment * in an early ‘60s building is placed in the heart of the modern city right on the golden sandy beach of Terracina . It’s a 90 square meters apartment on a second floor in a completely refurbished elegant building with elevator. It offers a bright entrance, and a comfortable atmosphere for easy living your holiday. The entire apartment has been completely renovated in 2009 and all the furniture and decors are new and fresh.
The kitchen has been restructured and customised, it’s fully equipped and has all a new kitchen has to offer: a security gas system included. The living room has a very comfortable sofa bed, an armchair, a flat 32’’ HD TV, a DVD player with a couple of DVDs for children entertainment, a table with chairs and air conditioning.
A lovely balcony with side sea view off the living room, is a perfect spot for morning coffee , to have dinner or to relax with a glass of wine to the sea breeze. The en suite bathroom has a modern shape and it is nicely furnished with sink, wc, bidet and the largest shower.
A long hallway leads to the two large bedrooms, the Blue room and the Orange room. They offer a total of 6 comfortable sleeps (up to 8 with the double Davenport in the living room) as they have a double bed, a single bed, wardrobe and air conditioning each.
A sunroof with breathtaking view of old Terracina is a free use of our guests, ideal for a sunbathe and to enjoy a good book in total relax.
Further details outdoors: Slightly more than 100 kilometres from Rome and 120 Km from Naples, Terracina lies on about fifteen Km of coastline, along the wide gulf marked off by the Circeo and Gaeta promontories. By taking a short walk in the old town you will discover characteristic shops and establishments, including small wineries, with history everywhere around you. Piazza del Municipio also offers a view of the two symbols of Terracina, the incredible sea and the Temple of Jupiter Anxur.
On especially clear days you can see the jewels of Campania, the islands of Ischia and Capri. Terracina is full of fine restaurants and is really good for shopping. The colourful fishermen's port-canal and two basins for pleasure-craft, and the arm of the port where the ships depart for Ponza (in the summer) and for Ventotene.
Those who enjoy the countryside as well as the sea need only venture a few miles into the interior to reach many interesting places. Terracina is definitely a must for everyone who loves Italy and its beauties.
