There is a huge range of places to visit in Kent and Sussex with more castles, stately homes and gardens open to the public than any other area of England. Added to that, there are numerous museums, galleries, steam railways, vineyards and much more to add to your list of what to do in Kent and Sussex. Include some of the big names such as Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Chartwell, and the gardens at Great Dixter, Sheffield Park and Sissinghurst Castle on your itinerary.
Discover some of Britain's key historical sites such as Battle Abbey & 1066 Battlefield the site of the Battle of Hastings, and experience impressive castles such as those at Bodiam and Dover. There's plenty for families at The Rare Breeds Centre, the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway - and even two wild animal parks in the heart of the Kent countryside at Howletts and Port Lympne. And for the adults, how about sampling some award winning wines produced at Chapel Down Winery?
