"Great apartment but disappointing service"

We were given an incorrect code to access the apartment, when we tried to call the given number the mobile was switched off. Equally we were not told that the drive way on the property was access for at least 3 other cars and it was up to us to sort out the arrangements with the tenants. A cupboard that houses a wash machine, boiler, etc is hidden but we weren't told where it was hidden, in the main bathroom, a towel rail on the wall when pulled opens into another large cupboard.....All in all a very poor service from this letting agent

"Wonderful flat, superb location!"

8am, and I'm sitting in the comfy leather chair overlooking North Beach with a cup of tea, watching the wind whip up the waves and dogs strain at the leash. Twelve hours later, and I'm back in the same place, but with a glass of wine rather than tea and the dog walkers have been replaced by people spilling out of restaurants and cafes. It's where I start and end my day. Watching people can become habit-forming…
This was the first time we had stayed in such luxurious surroundings – two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine and two TVs. We all appreciated the open plan nature of the Lux apartment – a huge table more than sufficient for our family of four and several jigsaws, a big, comfortable settee, a modern minimalist but well equipped kitchen with lots of cutlery and crockery and of course, the leather chair we fought over as the best place to watch the world go by and/or gaze at the sea.
The flat itself has been thoughtfully designed by people who are far more artistic than we are, incorporating modern posters, bright and bold colours, quality fittings with pale wood floorboards and thick rugs. It felt light and airy, yet warm and cosy in the evenings. And April this year was a bit arctic so the wood burner was very welcome!
The master bedroom had a very comfortable bed with a luxurious ensuite featuring the walk in shower I've always wanted. The girls had their own twin room complete with TV, a bonus for two teenage girls. On that note, the flat is so central and secure – with car parking, rare for Tenby – that we were happy for them to go and explore by themselves. You really couldn't ask for a better location to enjoy all the town centre amenities. Less than ten seconds to the nearest pub (Tenby's oldest, frequented by Dylan Thomas. And us.) and two minutes to New Look via the market hall cut through, as my daughters reliably informed me. We were spoilt for choice for cafes, bars and restaurants, but for the best coffee in town (in our opinion) head for Caffe Vista, just a few metres from the flat while Dennis' Café on Castle Beach boasts amazing views and excellent hot chocolate.
On holiday, it's the small things that count for us. A friendly welcome when we arrived two hours early. A bag of logs and kindling so we could fire up the wood burner that evening. Hand wash, toilet rolls and plentiful towels.
We came in search of beach time, fresh air, a chance to relax, refresh and renew ourselves, leisurely days and a drift in routine. Lux delivered – it's a wonderful flat in a superb location. We'll be back.
