The Pembrokeshire region
Famed for its beaches and natural beauty, Pembrokeshire is Britain’s only costal National Park. Pembrokeshire can offer quietness and seclusion at its award winning beaches but conversely has many attractions such as Oakwood, Folly Farm as well and towns such as Haverfordwest, Pembroke, Narberth and Britain's smallest city - St Davids.
Tenby is considered as the jewel in the crown of Pembrokeshire. Famous for its walled town with a variety of shops, bars and restaurants, it is surrounded by stunning award winning beaches. The picture postcard Harbour provides excursions to nearby Caldey Island the home of the famous cistercian Monks. Tenby is also set on Pembrokeshire's famous costal path which now forms part of the Welsh costal path - stated as the second best costal destibation in the world by National geographic's Traveller Magazine.

Lovely modern, clean apartment. Very well equipped. Loved the decor and stylish finish.
Location was ideal in the centre of Tenby (on "The Croft") and with parking too.

On the surface this looked very clean, but:
1.Shower head was coated with black mould - had to clean before used
2.There was an obvious mould problem in apartment - especially bad behind bedroom cabinet (see photos)
3.On looking for the clothes dryer, which was stored under the bed, we found a pair of men's boxers, a pair of women's knickers, a make-up compact, 2 socks (different) and about a years worth of fluff!
4. There seemed to be no way to empty the bathroom sink once the plug was in place
5.The shower door became detached at the bottom
On the plus side:
The washing machine was a great boon (actually a combined washer/dryer) and the TV/DVD set was excellent and the flat was quite comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was also very central for Tenby amenities, but far enough away to be very quiet. One thing not mentioned by owner is that the parking permit is yours for duration of your stay, only the parking space is 1st come 1st served - but we never had a problem getting a space.
So overall it was OK, but we just couldn't shake the icky feeling that only a very thorough deep clean would solve!
Thank you for your feedback and for the email you sent me - after your stay. I am sorry that you encountered such problems
I take guest complaints very seriously and as such in my final instructions email I ask guests to contact me should they have any problems during their stay. I also leave my personal number in the information folder at the property.
I am sorry that you did not contact me during your stay to give me the opportunity to rectify the problems. However upon picking up your email on my return from holidays I was able to contact my handyman and cleaner who resolved those items that had not already been resolved almost immediately. Having owned the property for 8 months, I have learned that as in anybody's home things sometimes go wrong or fail, such as light bulbs and plug mechanisms. It is for this reason that since I do not live in Pembrokeshire, I have a handyman that I can call on, who is based in Tenby and can resolve problems very quickly - even if that is just to change a light bulb.
Referring to your specific points regarding cleaning, I have passed these over to my cleaner and am assured that these issues will not arise again.
With regards to the 'mould' problem to which you refer, holiday homes in Tenby often suffer from humidity due to the the climate, proximity to the sea and lack of ventilation through windows not being opened during no occupancy. This invariably happens near windows and in corners behind furniture. I am sure that you would agree that the painwork was otherwise pristine in all visible areas. Since I have owned the property it has been painted throughout and dehumidification crystals were also used during the winter months.
With regards to the parking permit, I have made clear in my advert that parking is on a 'first come first served basis'. I am sorry that you did not notice this.
Finally I would like to thank you once again for your comments which will assist in me raising standards for future guests.
