We have tried to think what we would expect from a first class , luxurious holiday home & give it to you, our guests.

Warmth ,comfort, cleanliness, quality furnishings & fittings, along with good bedding came high on our list.

We also thought it best to supply all the little extras such as washing up, dishwasher & washing machine liquids, toilet paper & cleaning materials.

Lastly we give a complimentary bottle of good quality Cava as " life is too short to drink cheap wine "

Further details outdoors

Although the property has no " garden " you will have many acres to wander around, golfers permitting. A Pembrokeshire pathway runs behind the Manor House & goes through the woods. In late Spring you will see wild garlic & also the ground covered in bluebells. Frequently you will hear owls at night & woodpeckers in the morning. We have a cafe table & chairs on the balcony where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink.

As mentioned the Manor house is within 100m. The bar staff are very welcoming & we do recommend the restaurant food, particularly Sunday lunch( booking essential ). If you are a golfer you can play a round for £20 ( £15 after 4pm ).

As there is little light pollution stargazers are in for a treat on clear nights.

"Gutted it was over so quick"

We had a brilliant stay at cysgod the house was better than in the pictures! The surroundings were lovely too very tranquil and peaceful! The decor is lovely and it provided everything we needed and more! We were amazed to find the lovely footpath behind the cottages which then came out into a feild overlooking the coast it was amazing and one of the highlights of the stay! I will defiantly be returning in the near future! Only disappointment was the departure times which we all thought was a shame as we couldn't get up slowly and pack. It was a shame our last night consisted of packing and trying to keep everything clean enough ready to leave in the morning!

Thank you for your lovely review. That path is a fine walk and the view from the field is rewarding.
Unfortunately we do require guests to vacate at 10am in order to prepare for the next guests to arrive at 3pm. It really takes us that long as Lynn and I do it ourselves.
Next time you come, provided no guests are due to arrive that day, you can have a lie in. Just ask.

"remarkable retreat from a repetitive life style"

My wife and I first went to Cysgod y Coed in November 2012 for our Honeymoon, the stay was the ultimate relaxation from normail life, Tenby town is a quaint but lovely place to visit. The manor house opposite the lodge is a great place to go for a meal, slightly pricey but worth every penny. The lodge is a a haven with two floors one for the huge kitchen and dining area and the other for the lounge area. we couldn't believe how well the decorations were laid out through-out the lodge. The master bedroom and ensuite was a pleasure to stay in. I enjoyed the relaxing shower, the wife enjoyed the bath. we went back again in November 2013 for our honeymoon. If you dont mind a small walk then Tenby town is easy enough to walk to, however there are taxi companies available, we would recommend Gaz's taxi's as we used them both times we visited and were very pleasant. Lastly the owners of the lodge are a wonderful accommodating couple who will endure to ensure you stay is worth every penny. We will be visiting again.

Now we are blushing with pride. Thank you . What more can we say except, do come again.

"Outstanding modern cottage in Tenby"

Excellent welcome with bottle of Cava, beautiful modern cottage with lots of space for young children to play. All the mod cons come with the property and underfloor heating.

Excellent walks from the bck of the cottage and golf course next door. We had an excellent Meal in the nearby (100 metres) trefloyne manor (golf club) that also has a bar.

we would definitely come back, the cottage was perfect for our boys of 6 and 2 yrs.

Thank you so much. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.

"Lovely cabin"

Cabin is lovely, really high spec and the rooms are fantastic. Owners are great and the complimentary bottle of Cava is a really nice touch. Only small critism I could have is the location. You really do need a car to get anywhere if you have children and there isn't much for children to do around the cabin if its raining. If it'd had been just two adults then couldn't have faulted anything. thanks

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks again for the flowers, really nice gesture.
As you say a car is very useful to visit all the many attractions of the area, rain or shine.

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and stylish holiday let"

This is the most comfortable holiday home we have ever stayed in, and, believe me we've stayed in a few!! The soft furnishings were not only comfortable but stylish and modern too!! A wonderfully designed home that allowed the light to flood in. We were blessed with a week of glorious sunshine so all-in-all a fab week was guaranteed!! Also, the Sunday lunch at the Trefloyne Manor house, which is situated opposite, was delicious!!! 100% recommendation from The Sullivan family!!!

As always, Lynn and I are thankful for your very kind review and so glad you had a great holiday at our place.

"Beautifully presented, comfortable property in a great location."

This is a stunning wood cabin set amongst 6 or 7 other new cabins on the edge of the golf course outside Tenby. It is beautifully decorated and the owners have taken real care over the little details. Despite this we weren't nervous about our 14 month boy breaking anything as they also cleverly provided a big tub for us to stash all breakables away during our stay! :) We really appreciated the extra services like keeping small stocks of toilet paper, salt, pepper, washing up liquid etc so that we didn't have to bring these ourselves. Cot, high chair and children's cutlery were all provided and so the only thing we needed to bring was a travel stair gate. The complimentary Cava was also very welcome!
We had beautiful weather and spent most days on the spectacular beaches of Tenby, which were really safe for our toddler. A day trip to Caldey Island was well worth it and we definitely recommend Folly Farm as a great day out for toddlers and kids. The house is comfortable enough that my husband and I could enjoy our evenings in the large sitting room or on the balcony when the little one was asleep. The nearby golf club house was good for lunch and toddling over to in the later afternoons for a drink and the staff were very friendly. All in all a lovely holiday and one we'd be happy to repeat :)

Lynn and I work hard to provide our guests with everything to enjoy and relax. This is our home from home which we hope our guests will appreciate.

Comments such as the above make it all worthwhile. Thank you.

"A wonderful woodland retreat"

My husband and I stayed at Cysgod y Coed with my parents and 3 children, a teenager, young child and baby. The lodge was presented to a high standard and decorated beautifully. Very welcoming, very clean and child friendly. The location of the property was in a woodland setting, only a 5 minute drive from Tenby town centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days in Tenby which included a day at Folly Farm, Bluestone swimming, and the last day on the beach at nearby Saundersfoot. Thank you for an enjoyable experience. I would recommend this holiday rental to friends and family.

Lynn and I appreciate your lovely comments. Makes our day to be complimented.

"Great place, great location, great time"

We stayed at cysgod y coed for my fathers 60th. There were 6 of us and 2 babies. The lodge was fantastic with plenty of room for all of us. It's really close to Tenby centre and also Folly farm, which the little ones loved. The golf course bar and restaurant was ideal to pop over and have some food and a beer in the terrace over looking the course. We would defiantly stay there again.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed so much. I hope your father appreciated his surprise and the decorations we put up in his honour.
Do visit us again.

"Fantastic lodge, really enjoyed our stay with the family."

We stayed 3 nights at Cyscod yCoed when the weather was extremely cold. The lodge's underfloor heating and triple glazing was fantastic and the home comforts ensured we didn't want to leave! Great location, only a mile into Tenby which could have been walked if the weather was warmer. Sunday lunch was also fantastic in the Manor House, with a bar so welcoming you could stay on site the whole time. Would definitely recommend this holiday let, and will hopefully return soon. The family had a great time. P

Thank you. Always cosy and warm whatever the weather thanks to Swedish design. Guests enjoy the Manor House bar and restaurant. The Peroni lager is my favourite at the bar.
