The property is Swedish & is warm & comfortable with underfloor heating, triple glazing & sumptuous furnishings. An ideal retreat for a quiet weekend away; great for a longer stay. Families & couples enjoy staying here as it is secluded but within 1.5 miles of Tenby. Within easy travelling distance are numerous beaches, & lots of attractions for children of all ages & their parents too.

We fell in love with the property on first sight & from the many guest comments we know they have too. This was built in 2009 & is a very spacious holiday home for 6 people, but a really secluded place with a friendly bar & fine restaurant within a 2 minutes stroll.

We have tried to think what we would expect from a first class , luxurious holiday home & give it to you, our guests.

Warmth ,comfort, cleanliness, quality furnishings & fittings, along with good bedding came high on our list.

We also thought it best to supply all the little extras such as washing up, dishwasher & washing machine liquids, toilet paper & cleaning materials.

Lastly we give a complimentary bottle of good quality Cava as " life is too short to drink cheap wine "

Further details outdoors

Although the property has no " garden " you will have many acres to wander around, golfers permitting. A Pembrokeshire pathway runs behind the Manor House & goes through the woods. In late Spring you will see wild garlic & also the ground covered in bluebells. Frequently you will hear owls at night & woodpeckers in the morning. We have a cafe table & chairs on the balcony where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink.

As mentioned the Manor house is within 100m. The bar staff are very welcoming & we do recommend the restaurant food, particularly Sunday lunch( booking essential ). If you are a golfer you can play a round for £20 ( £15 after 4pm ).

As there is little light pollution stargazers are in for a treat on clear nights.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Pembrokeshire is an ancient land, full of magic & mystery. Here you will find neolithic settlements, castles & the fortified town of Tenby.

The area is famed for it's natural beauty from spectacular cliffs, golden sandy beaches, charming fishing villages & market towns.

Tenby

Tenby is a walled town with two safe, blue flagged sandy beaches. It has a small harbour from where you can get on a boat to visit Caldey island with it's Cistertian monastery or fish for mackerel or bigger fish. You can wander the quaint streets & relax at friendly pubs or eat at any of the excellent restaurants.

There is an interesting museum. All water sports are available in Tenby.

Nearby are several theme parks.

"Wow. . . Blown away! Fantastic stay x"

This home was everything we hoped it would be. I go away every year on an annual weekend with my 4 friends and decided to stay nearer to home this year and go to Tenby. I chose Cysgod Y Coed due to the wonderful reviews on trip advisor and they were spot on. When we arrived we had lunch (and a glass of wine) at Treffloyne manor which was fantastic. Very beautiful place, surroundings and of course the food was wonderful.
We then went to the lodge. First impressions. . Wow! It was spotless, Every room was decorated so beautifully and of course we had beautiful weather so we were straight out on the veranda to enjoy the fantastic views. There was so much space and we instantly fell in love with the place. So many places to eat and visit near by, it has everything that you could possibly need for a fantastic weekend away with friends or family. We loved the place so much that on the second night we stayed we decided to stay in and get a take away and make the most of Cysgod y Coed! Would also like to say that Trafford was accommodating, friendly and helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend xx
Thank you Lynn and Trafford xx

We are embarrassed by your praise. Thank you ever so much. Pleasure to have you as our guests.

"Great accomadation in peaceful location"

Accomadation excellent, real home from home. Kids loved their bedroom.
Great location a couple of miles from Tenby center on really peaceful but in easy reach of everything Tenby and the area offers.

Thank you for reviewing our place. It does make it so worthwhile when guests take the trouble to write.
Glad the kids enjoyed. If they are happy everyone else is.

"Gutted it was over so quick"

We had a brilliant stay at cysgod the house was better than in the pictures! The surroundings were lovely too very tranquil and peaceful! The decor is lovely and it provided everything we needed and more! We were amazed to find the lovely footpath behind the cottages which then came out into a feild overlooking the coast it was amazing and one of the highlights of the stay! I will defiantly be returning in the near future! Only disappointment was the departure times which we all thought was a shame as we couldn't get up slowly and pack. It was a shame our last night consisted of packing and trying to keep everything clean enough ready to leave in the morning!

Thank you for your lovely review. That path is a fine walk and the view from the field is rewarding.
Unfortunately we do require guests to vacate at 10am in order to prepare for the next guests to arrive at 3pm. It really takes us that long as Lynn and I do it ourselves.
Next time you come, provided no guests are due to arrive that day, you can have a lie in. Just ask.

"remarkable retreat from a repetitive life style"

My wife and I first went to Cysgod y Coed in November 2012 for our Honeymoon, the stay was the ultimate relaxation from normail life, Tenby town is a quaint but lovely place to visit. The manor house opposite the lodge is a great place to go for a meal, slightly pricey but worth every penny. The lodge is a a haven with two floors one for the huge kitchen and dining area and the other for the lounge area. we couldn't believe how well the decorations were laid out through-out the lodge. The master bedroom and ensuite was a pleasure to stay in. I enjoyed the relaxing shower, the wife enjoyed the bath. we went back again in November 2013 for our honeymoon. If you dont mind a small walk then Tenby town is easy enough to walk to, however there are taxi companies available, we would recommend Gaz's taxi's as we used them both times we visited and were very pleasant. Lastly the owners of the lodge are a wonderful accommodating couple who will endure to ensure you stay is worth every penny. We will be visiting again.

Now we are blushing with pride. Thank you . What more can we say except, do come again.
