Cysgod y Coed is in the grounds of Trefloyne Manor & Golf Club, yet set to one side amongst ancient woodland. The property is Swedish & is warm & comfortable with underfloor heating, triple glazing & sumptuous furnishings. An ideal retreat for a quiet weekend away; great for a longer stay. Families & couples enjoy staying here as it is secluded but within 1.5 miles of Tenby. Within easy travelling distance are numerous beaches, & lots of attractions for children of all ages & their parents too.
We fell in love with the property on first sight & from the many guest comments we know they have too. This was built in 2009 & is a very spacious holiday home for 6 people, but a really secluded place with a friendly bar & fine restaurant within a 2 minutes stroll.
If you don't know the area look up " Paulmanorbier " on U Tube.
You will be in the grounds of Trefloyne Manor & golf course.

We have tried to think what we would expect from a first class , luxurious holiday home & give it to you, our guests.
Warmth ,comfort, cleanliness, quality furnishings & fittings, along with good bedding came high on our list.
We also thought it best to supply all the little extras such as washing up, dishwasher & washing machine liquids, toilet paper & cleaning materials.
Lastly we give a complimentary bottle of good quality Cava as " life is too short to drink cheap wine "

Although the property has no " garden " you will have many acres to wander around, golfers permitting. A Pembrokeshire pathway runs behind the Manor House & goes through the woods. In late Spring you will see wild garlic & also the ground covered in bluebells. Frequently you will hear owls at night & woodpeckers in the morning. We have a cafe table & chairs on the balcony where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink.
As mentioned the Manor house is within 100m. The bar staff are very welcoming & we do recommend the restaurant food, particularly Sunday lunch( booking essential ). If you are a golfer you can play a round for £20 ( £15 after 4pm ).
As there is little light pollution stargazers are in for a treat on clear nights.
Please look us up on Trip Advisor. We are the best rated self catering in Tenby.
The Pembrokeshire region
Pembrokeshire is an ancient land, full of magic & mystery. Here you will find neolithic settlements, castles & the fortified town of Tenby.
The area is famed for it's natural beauty from spectacular cliffs, golden sandy beaches, charming fishing villages & market towns.
Tenby is a walled town with two safe, blue flagged sandy beaches. It has a small harbour from where you can get on a boat to visit Caldey island with it's Cistertian monastery or fish for mackerel or bigger fish. You can wander the quaint streets & relax at friendly pubs or eat at any of the excellent restaurants.
There is an interesting museum. All water sports are available in Tenby.
Nearby are several theme parks.

"Ski chalet style accomodation... But in beautiful West Wales!"
Spent a fabulous few days in Cysgod y Coed over the new year. The chalet reminded us of the type you may stay in on a skiing holiday and was beautifully presented, clean and spacious. The surroundings… More

Where do I start? From start to finish our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Located within a golf resort - you feel you are miles away from Tenby town, when you are actually a 5 minute drive away. The lodge itself was comfortable and luxurious. We cooked our own food (bought from the local market), and watched movies in a spacious upstairs lounge area. Everything was spotless! We had the best roast dinner ever on the Sunday in the Trefloyne Manor House - a 50 yard walk from the lodge. Looking forward to returning at Christmas for a festive stay!
Many thanks for your kind review. Sorry I could not join you for Sunday lunch, but I had to get back home.
Christmas is still available at present.
Lynn and I will be decorating early in December to get into the spirit.

"Stylish contemporary swedish lodge, with all the comforts of home."
We stayed here for one week at the end of August 2014. As soon as we entered I felt relaxed. The children thought it was amazing and loved their space downstairs. We loved the fact that there were two distinct living areas with a large room downstairs for all the family and a lovely lounge upstairs for grown up evenings. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and having the use of the washing machine and dryer was an added bonus.
The house was warm and cosy and the showers hot and powerful. The sofas were lovely and comfy as were the beds.
The bluray player and BT hub / TV meant we had plenty to watch in the evening but we did take our own films too.
It is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in whilst holidaying in the UK but you get what you pay for! We weren't disappointed. It I had to be picky then the only improvement I would suggest making would be to put up more hooks to hang coats / dressing gowns etc but if that's all I can say about the place then it's pretty near perfect!!
The surrounding area was quiet and even the wedding party at the manor house didn't interrupt our evening. We didn't make it over into the manor house so can't comment on that but as outsiders looking in we were impressed with what we did see.
The booking process was very easy, as was any communication I had with the owner Trafford.
We loved Broadhaven beach and Freshwater West had the best rock pools I have ever seen. Freshwater West has lifeguards and the body boarding was fantastic for all the children (ages 6, 9, 11 and 46!)
Thank you for your lovely review. There are coat/ dressing gown hangers on the upstairs shower room door. We also have coat hangers in the boiler room for wet coats.
Funnily enough Lynn has bought some hangers for the downstairs bedrooms. Another job for me coming up I see.
Thank you for the suggestion.

"Wow. . . Blown away! Fantastic stay x"
This home was everything we hoped it would be. I go away every year on an annual weekend with my 4 friends and decided to stay nearer to home this year and go to Tenby. I chose Cysgod Y Coed due to the wonderful reviews on trip advisor and they were spot on. When we arrived we had lunch (and a glass of wine) at Treffloyne manor which was fantastic. Very beautiful place, surroundings and of course the food was wonderful.
We then went to the lodge. First impressions. . Wow! It was spotless, Every room was decorated so beautifully and of course we had beautiful weather so we were straight out on the veranda to enjoy the fantastic views. There was so much space and we instantly fell in love with the place. So many places to eat and visit near by, it has everything that you could possibly need for a fantastic weekend away with friends or family. We loved the place so much that on the second night we stayed we decided to stay in and get a take away and make the most of Cysgod y Coed! Would also like to say that Trafford was accommodating, friendly and helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend xx
Thank you Lynn and Trafford xx
