Situated conveniently on the border between Dorset and Somerset, between the historic towns of Wincanton and Sherborne, an ideal base for touring. Explore this beautiful area, from the ancient Roman City of Bath to the prehistoric Jurassic Coast with its numerous stunning beaches. The village of North Cheriton is designated as a conservation area, with its ancient pound and village stocks. Numerous circular walks give breathtaking views across this quiet countryside. Countless day trips are a short drive from the property, including the popular Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, Haynes Motor Museum, Cheddar and Wookey Caves, a wealth of National Trust properties and the always popular Longleat House and Safari Park. Enjoy the meandering streets of Sherborne where you are bound to find a memento of your stay; overlooked by its two castles, it is home for numerous events throughout the year, from its country fair to open air concerts. Farm activities: guests are welcome to help the owners feed the ducks, chickens, Shetland ponies and Zwarbles sheep.
