Created in 2012 and giving generous living space, access to the apartment is through the main house. It offers a spacious lounge with a view across the estuary to Shaldon, a built-in kitchenette with ceramic hob, sink & drainer with mixer taps, fridge, microwave oven, toaster & electric kettle, 3 seater sofa and matching armchair, dining table & chairs, digital freeview television & dab / cd hifi, as well as secured wi-fi broadband access. The Devon region

Teignmouth, the 'Gem of South Devon', offers all you need for a relaxing break in a tranquil setting. Within this friendly historical seaside town you will find an abundance of characterful pubs, local art galleries, craft shops and restaurants of all specialities. Being a maritime centre, those looking for boating, fishing and diving facilities are well catered for. See links below for further information.

Keats House is named after the great English romantic poet John Keats, who lived in the property in 1818, where he worked on his epic poem Endymion in that year.

The Teignmouth Carnival, Folk & Jazz festivals are hugely popular events, taking place in June, July & November. Visitors may also wish to explore the city of Exeter with its wealth of culture and shopping facilities, being only 15 miles away, a short & scenic railway journey from Teignmouth. Dartmoor & Exmoor are both within easy travelling distance by car. Across the estuary lies the quaint village of Shaldon, which is accessed by a foot passenger ferry from Teignmouth river beach. During the summer months (weather permitting) there is a ferry service to Torquay, Brixham & Dartmouth.

Thank you for your positive review. We're so pleased it met all your requirements. Your comments regarding the shower are noted but, when we were planning the apartment we did ask our contractors to install one, and were told that due to the ceiling height it would not be a practical option. Nevertheless, we do hope we may welcome you to Keats Loft again in the future.

"5 ***** Accomodation"

We stayed at Keats Loft in May & had a fantastic time.
The accommodation is luxurious & very spacious for 2 people. Twin beds with lots of hanging space & good quality bed linen; the quirky bathroom (be careful if you're tall!) has lovely towels & lots of hot water; the kitchen/sitting/dining has fabulous views to the River Beach & is very well equipped for breakfasts & snacks. We had great fish & chips one evening.. watching the sun set.
Teignmouth is a great base from which to explore South Devon... boating, sailing, kayaking, walking, golf,.... It's on the main train line & is well served by buses. There are also lots of great restaurants. Can't wait to return in the Autumn
