About the home

The villa is part of a 3.5 acre property with landscaped gardens and orchards of citrus, olive and fruit trees. Start the morning by picking and squeezing your own fresh orange juice! The 2 bedroomed villa is ideal for families but also romantic enough for couples who just want to get away from it all.

The villa benefits from its own private swimming pool (8x4m) and there are ample seating areas to dine 'al fresco' whilst taking in the stunning views of the Guadalteba valley.

We have recently added a small gym and we are able to offer massage, yoga and some beauty treatments - all you need to relax and pamper yourself! In addition we have a large scale outdoor chess set and plenty of games to keep you entertained.

We have an excellent Venta (restaurant/bar) within walking distance which sells tapas and full menu for a reasonable price. Teba is just a 5 min drive away and there you will find ATM's, banks, post office, supermarket and of course, more bars and restaurants!

ACTIVITIES
Horseriding - spend a fun couple of hours trekking through the amazing scenery of hills and olive groves. There are 2 local riding schools that we can recommend.
Rock climbing - the famous El Chorro is within 30 min drive
Water sports - you can't miss our very own lake district where a series of manmade reservoirs in a natural park offer fishing, canoeing, wind surfing and more.
Also an ideal location for: walking, birdwatching, cycling, paragliding, go-karting.

We promise you will not be bored!!

The lounge has 2 comfortable sofas, a large rustic chest coffee table, tv table and drawers and a gate-leg dining table to seat 4 people. Sat TV, IPOD dock, CD and DVD player are provided.

Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, large double wardrobe with drawer space and 2 bedside tables with lamps and alarm clock. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds, bedside table with lamp and ample wardrobe space.

Tiled bathroom with shower cubicle, washbasin and WC. Hairdryer and complimentary toiletries are provided.

Attractive tiled kitchen with sink, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine. Kettle, toaster and ample cooking utensils and crockery are provided.

We have a large library of English books (fiction and reference) and DVD’s available. Full office facilites including wifi broadband internet access are available. Mountain bicycles and golf clubs can be hired on request.

Large American gas BBQ, Patio Heater and ample seating areas, 8m x 4m swimming pool (unheated), sun loungers.

IPOD dock and BOSE outdoor speakers allow you to listen to music by the pool.

We have recently added a small gym that has a treadmill, multigym, fitness DVDs, wiifit and wii games.

- A welcome hamper is provided on arrival.
-The owners house is within the grounds of the villa but you can be assured of your own privacy during your stay. The pool and gardens are exclusively for the use of guests.
- The villa is thoroughly cleaned on arrival and all linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Pool towels are also provided. A twice weekly maid service can be provided at an additional cost.
- The owner is English speaking and will be happy to assist in any way.

Conditions

Sorry, no pets allowed. We are animal friendly but as we are a working farm we already have cats and dogs in the grounds.

No smoking is allowed within the property but smoking outside is permitted.

A 20% deposit is required to reserve and the remainder is due 6 weeks prior to holiday start date. If you book within 6 weeks of start date the full amount is payable in advance.

Up to 4 weeks prior to holiday start date we will give a full refund less any bank/admin charges.
If you cancel within 4 weeks of holiday start date we will refund 50% of your costs.

The Andalucia / Malaga Province region

Malaga is a vibrant city steeped with culture (the home of Picasso) and history. It offers far more than just the airport and is well worth a vist.

f you prefer sun, sea and sand, the well-known beach resorts of Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola are only an hour’s drive. Just a bit further away is the more upmarket Marbella and Puerto Banus where you can find plenty of designer clothes shops and boutiques to spend your euros.

The Teba area

PLACES TO VISIT

We are based in the Guadalteba valley and are ideally located to explore inland Andalucia. The historic town of Ronda is 20min drive away and we are an hours drive from Antequera and Malaga. Within a 2 hour drive is Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Jerez and if you wish to visit the coast, the beaches of Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola are within 1.5 hours drive. You can also spend a day in Gibraltar which is about a 2 hour drive – but don’t forget your passport!

Closer to home is Teba, the nearest village which is 5km away. This is typical of a 'Pueblo Blanco', the small whitewashed villages that are dotted all over the hillsides of Andalucia. We are actually on the Ronda road (A367) and although a car is essential for getting around, there are two Ventas (restaurant/bar) within easy walking distance from our location. We have found a few local restaurants which we can firmly recommend as good value and excellent food.

ARDALES LAKES AND NATURAL PARK
Within 15 minutes drive are the Lakes of Ardales. These are manmade reservoirs set in a natural park and the views are just stunning! You can relax and take a picnic, swim in the lakes or hire pedalos. There are also a number of bars/restaurants that again do good spanish food.
We recommend a delightful waterside restaurant 'El Kiosko', a particular good choice for the winter visit as a blazing log fire and their excellent roast lamb and pork go down well after a walk along the shores of the lake. But equally delightful is their summer terrace with views to the lake. Also recommended is restaurant “El Mirador”. This is situated a little further along from El Kiosko and is above a tunnel.'El Mirador' is more rustic than 'El Kiosko' but offers extraordinary views of the lakes, as well as a good selection of meals. The path at the rear leads up to an unmissable view point and the Camino del Rey.
Within the park is Bobastro. At Bobastro an ancient church ruin is located a short climb from the road, but it is not well signposted.
EL CHORRO
El Chorro is a limestone gorge, through which passes the Guadalhorce river. It was dammed in 1921, forming three reservoirs which are flanked by pine forests.
It sits next to the 700m high Desfiladero de los Gaitanes pass, and is famous for the very dangerous path called Caminito del Rey (King's little pathway). The path took its name because it was officially opened by Alfonso XIII of Spain. However official access to the path was removed in 2000 after a tourist died trying to cross it. At present the walkway is accessible by climbers only (full protection gear recommended). A large hotel 'El Gargantua' overlooks the river and gorge provides good views from the terrace as well as restaurant facilities.
RONDA
Ronda is a fascinating town which mixes modern and ancient architecture well. At its heart is the ‘Puento Nuevo” or new bridge which spans the Tajo (or gorge). There is an excellent hotel/restaurant Don Miguel where you can sit on a terrace and look out over the gorge whilst having tapas or a beer or two! Ronda has numerous shops selling everything from souvenirs and clothes to Jamon and local wine. There is also a huge selection of restaurants and bars including a Michelin Starred Restaurant (with Michelin prices to match!).
MALAGA
Malaga is certainly worth a visit and is definitely far more than just an airport. It is fun to take the train from Bobadilla which will take you through El Chorro and also saves the problem of parking. In Malaga you will find the Picasso Museum and an imposing Baroque Cathedral. Malaga also boasts an impressive pedestrian highstreet packed with highstreet and designer shops. It goes without saying that you will not struggle to find somewhere to eat!
There is also a well maintained beach so after taking in some culture and shopping you can relax and catch up on your suntan.
ANTEQUERA
Antequera is yet another lovely town to visit. Close by is the Wolf Park where you can go and get up close with the wolves and hear them howl. El Torcal is a natural park with fascinating rock formations that is also worth a visit, as is the Donkey Sanctuary and Fuente De Piedra where the flamingos migrate to in the summer.
ACTIVITIES
Horseriding
We can recommend Cortijo Uribe if you want to go horseriding whilst on holiday. Cortijo Uribe is based in Mollina (approx 50 min drive) and offers both lessons and hacks out in stunning scenery. Cycling
If you are keen on cycling there is a specialist company Abdal Adventures, located near to the famous El Chorro gorge. If you are looking for Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Leisure Riding, they can arrange them all.
Walking
The area is surrounded by ancient mule tracks and forest by-ways and there are numerous walks available, graded at different levels. A guide can be arranged at a modest cost.
Go-Karting
For those that want the adrenalin rush there is a go-karting track near to Campillos where you can hire karts by the hour.
Yoga and Beauty
Fancy starting the day with some stretching and meditation by the swimming pool? Yoga lessons can be arranged on request with local qualified teachers. I am trained as a massage therapist and can offer massages on site, alternatively, for more beauty treatments we can recommend the Wildman-Chard Clinic in Campillos.
Other
Also available within the area is birdwatching, climbing and fishing – we can promise that you won’t be bored!

We are based in the Costa Del Sol, approximately 60km inland from Malaga Airport and 35km from Ronda.
Malaga Airport is within 1 hour drive and Granada and Sevilla airports are within 90 minutes.

Estacion De Bobadilla is the nearest railway station that has a direct link from Malaga station and is within 30 minutes drive. There is also a bus which runs regularly from Malaga and stops within walking distance of the villa.

There are numerous budget airlines that fly into Malaga all year from all over the UK. A good website to help you search for the best deal is

You can also choose from a huge variety of car hire companies that are based either within or very close to Malaga airport. We find that the ones located just outside offer the best service. Try:

We STRONGLY recommend you take out maximum CDW cover. The normal excess for Spanish car rentals can be more than 500 euros and you can reduce this to 100 euros or less. Based on experience of Spanish drivers it is certainly worth the small additional cost.

“Great holidays !” It was a very good trip ! the swimming pool, the house are very great ! and the owner are very very sympathic !! there are a lot of activities to do around the house, it was a very good time here, thank you !! ;)

We stayed with Sharon and Dave for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. Los Embalses are the lakes that are nearby, and are completely stunning. The apartment itself is lovely and cool and spacious. We had a really relaxing time. The outdoor sound system was particularly impressive :) Couldn't have asked for nicer hosts, we're still in touch now.

Really enjoyed the holiday at Sharon and Dave's villa. They were so helpful when we needed them, and always willing to go the extra mile. The pool was great, the villa nice and the extra touches such as a cold flannel and drink on arrival, and the welcome pack was well received by the kids. Lovely evening walks down through the orchard to the stream. The birds were great, seeing the swallows swooping down and the barn owl flying around over the pool in the late evening was fantastic. Great base for getting around, recommend Rhonda for a visit, beautiful. Hope to stay again some time, thanks for a great holiday experience.


We stayed last year and the villa was very comfortable and well equipped with all modern appliances and naturally all the basic requiremnts. A good pool exclusively for our use, very friendly and welcoming dogs and Sharon and Dave are excellent hosts who you only see when you want to ask them something! A good inland central spot with easy access to Malaga,Ronda,and the hinterland.Most enjoyable.
