The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Inland Andalucia is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the costal resorts. Historic Moorish castles stand overlooking picturesque white villages. Eagles and vultures fly over rugged mountains and deep gorges and turquoise lakes shimmer in warm sunshine.

This is real Spain, no fish and chips, no warm beer, just a genuine warmth from the local villagers. They don't speak English but really appreciate visitors making an effort to speak the odd word of Spanish no matter how bad!


Teba area

Casa la Camorra sits in a small hamlet at the foot of the Teba Gorge, an area of outstanding natural beauty and only a 5 min drive from the historic white village of Teba with its narrow winding streets. Situated on the edge of the breathtaking Ardales Lake District, this is in an ideal spot whether you want to relax and unwind in the beautiful Spanish countryside, prefer a more active holiday such as rock climbing, cycling, walking, birdwatching or simply want a base to tour the great cities of Seville, Granada and Cordoba. (All less than a 2 hour drive and also easily reached by train). Locally, the historic cities of Ronda and Antequera are within a 45 min drive.

Teba village offers a taste of the real Spain with a range of restaurants, tapas bars and traditional shops - you find the local bakery by following the smell of freshly baked bread which leads you through someone's front door and living room to the bakery at the rear. The village also has modern amenities such as banks and supermarkets.

If you are lucky, your visit may coincide with one of the many fiestas / festivals when the villagers parade in traditional Spanish dress and party long into the night.




How to get there

A straightforward 1 hour drive from Malaga airport, also easily accessible from both Granada & Seville airports. Most low cost airlines fly to all 3 on an almost daily basis.

The kitchen / living area has a large comfortable sofa bed, dining furniture and additional seating. The rustic style kitchen area has a granite worktop, electric hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and all the necessary cooking utensils and crockery. Towels and linen are provided and changed twice weekly, but please bring your own towels for use by the pool. . The apartment is equipped with both gas and electric heating to make your stay as comfortable as possible during the cooler winter months and fans are provided during the summer.

Outside, there is a good-sized swimming pool (shared with owners) surrounded by a large terrace for sunbathing and barbequing. The large Mediterranean style garden, with mini boules court, has panoramic views to the castle and surrounding countryside. There is also a small orchard scattered with a range of olive and fruit trees where guests can help themselves to fruit in season.

A complimentary welcome pack is provided to greet you on arrival, with cool drinks in the fridge, a bottle of wine to help you relax after your journey and enough food for your first supper / breakfast.

For the comfort of all our guests smoking is only allowed in outside areas.


Conditions

The rental of the holiday apartment is competitively priced in euros (€) and split into two seasons. The prices are based on 2 people sharing. A supplement of €10 per person per night is payable for each additional person, up to a maximum of 6 sharing. Bookings which cross 2 price zones will be charged on a pro-rata basis. No specific arrival or departure days / times, maximum flexibility for your convenience. Minimum stay 3 nights, although shorter stays may be possible subject to availability.

Discounts available for stays of more than 7 nights. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable on booking either in euros or sterling with the balance payable in euros on the day of arrival.
