About the home
Mansion placed at 400 mt. high, on the border between Marche and Emilia Romagna. Villa "Il Cavaliere di Monteluro" is located on 6000 square meters in Tavullia, a corner kissed by nature, where once stood the Castle of Monteluro.
The visitor is received by the olive trees that descend gently on a ridge of trees. The gaze is lost in infinite space, which pass from the hills to the sea leaving a feeling of deep calm. Left Mount Carpegna and its Park of Simone and Simoncello and the hills of Montefeltro, in the middle valley of the Conca and the Republic of San Marino, right Gradara Castle and the San Bartolo's Park , which stands on the sea.
Here begins the Costa Romagnola that from the city of Cattolica follows up to the town of Cesenatico. For a moment time stands still and you stay in silence and admire the beauty of this nature. Ideal geographical location for lovers of a relaxing holiday offered by the natural environment, entertainment and culture of the neighbouring cities of art (Urbino, Pesaro, San Leo, Rimini, etc..).

The Marche / Abruzzo / Marche region

Marche, region of central Italy washed by the Adriatic Sea and mostly hilly, is bordered by the Republic of San Marino on the east and north east , by Emilia-Romagna and by Tuscany on the north west.
Gabicce Mare, 6 km from Tavullia, is a seaside resort among the most famous and worldly of Adriatico with a beautiful sandy beach. Together with famous tourist destinations like Cattolica, Riccione, Rimini, is an ideal place for lovers of entertainment and fun, relying on amenities and facilities such as restaurants and nightclubs.
Gradara, 2 km from Tavullia, is a medieval centre of interest that arises on the border with Emilia Romagna.
The castle dates back to 1100 that belonged to the Malatesta of Verucchio to Sforza and Della Rovere family, is surrounded by walls of the fourteenth century that continue to rock. Famous for his love of Paolo and Francesca da Rimini, sung by Dante in his Divine Comedy, is a place of events in the Middle Ages.
Pesaro province is a commercial, industrial and seaside resort. He was a Roman colony in the second century a.c. In 1300 it entered the dominion of Gianciotto Malatesta, in 1445 passed to Alessandro Sforza and then moved to the Lords Della Rovere already Lords of Senigallia and Dukes of Urbino. Worthy of note, the Ducal Palace, the most significant monument of the city. Rocca Costanza that is a military building of the 1474th with cylindrical towers and a moat. The Cathedral of the XII century with Romanesque Gothic facade. Civic museums, ceramic museum and the musician Gioacchino Rossini's house and museum.
Urbino is a city of cultural and artistic renaissance, one of the most important of Marche. There were born Raphael, Bramante, Girolamo Genga and Federico Barocci. We suggest to visit the Palazzo dell'Università, old residence of the Montefeltro, the Duomo, in neoclassical style with numerous Barocci's works, Casa di Raffaello Sanzio and the Palazzo Ducale di Federico da Montefeltro. This architectural complex of the 1444 gives hospitality to the Galleria Nazionale of Marche.
San Leo, on a rocky hill and impregnable, was medieval fortress and residence of the Montefeltro in 1500. The hill called Mons Feretrius gave the name to the entire region.
The Tavullia area
Tavullia is a commercial and agricultural town, which borders Emilia - Romagna region and is only 6 km from the sandy beach of Gabicce Mare.
The home country of world champion Valentino Rossi of motorcycling is characterised by a never ending series of awe-inspiring panoramas which can be enjoyed from all parts of the hillside location. On a clear day the view stretches right across to the sea. The beauty of the natural surroundings is enhanced by interesting historical-artistic features.
In particular "Il Cavaliere di Monteluro" is located on the hill Monteluro, Tavullia fraction, the scene of the famous battle of 8 November 1443. The line up of ranks was extremely impressive: on one side Francesco Sforza and Sigismondo Malatesta with their Venetian, Florentine and Milanese troops; on the other Nicolò Piccinino, Federico of Montefeltro and Malatesta Novello with the militias of the Church and Alfonso d'Aragona.
In order to its extraordinary strategic advantage, was used as a lookout tower. It was for this reason that the Malatesta and Montefeltro families fought so frequently over its possession.
