The Algarve / East Algarve region
There many places to visit in this region. Tavira (old Moorish town) with it's narrow streets and cosy little restaurants, Palacio de Estoi, Old town in Faro and many others.
The weather in Algarve is great. In summer months the weather is predictable, it is very warm around 30 centigrade.
Tavira / Moncarapacho/Sta Catarina area
On the last Sunday of every month St. Catarina comes to live for the market, where you can buy everything, from agricultural machinery to under ware, from handicrafts to live poultry. During summer, like in every other village, the only square (in front of the church) turned over to the traditional "festas" on weekend evenings.
St Catarina is an agricultural centre for surrounding area because of it's Olive press. Also St. Catarina is famous for tiles, St. Catarina tiles.
