From the entrance and spacious hallway there are two bedrooms, one with large en suite containing luxury jacuzzi bathtub, basin, bidet and WC. The main en suite bedrooms is spacious containing built in wardrobes, dressing table, lockers, two single beds, and rear balcony with patio furtniture. The second bedroom also contains built in wardrobes and 2 single beds. Both bedrooms are spacious enough to accommodate guest beds if required.
The large hallway also contains built in wardrobes and there is a super bathroom off the hallway which contains xtra wide full length walk in power shower , basin, bidet and WC.

The Algarve / East Algarve region

There are beautiful empty beaches with sands that go on forever, fields of orange trees heavy with the scent of blossom and hills of fig and almond trees await you.
The Algarve is world renowned as a major golfing and leisure destination and the East Algarve boasts some of the most enviable golf courses in Portugal including Benamar, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima and the new Jack Nicklaus course at Monte Rei which are all located along the east coast.
The Tavira / Quinta de Pegada area
Tavira...Known as 'The Little Venice of Portugal' lies 20 minutes west from the Spanish Boder...It is a picturesque town of cobble lock streets, wrought iron balconies and tiled facade buildings built on the River Gilao and spanned by it's historic Roman Bridge. Tavira town has retained it's charm of a traditional Portuguese fishing village bursting with old style character and romanticism. Tavira's a long way from disco heaven and the best thing to do is follow the local lead. Go out late, eat and then stroll through the town, stopping off at any of the scores of tiny bars or classy pastelarias. The centre of Tavira radiates from the pedestrianised open air ampi theatre beside the town hall. Here Tavira's council runs a series of nightly concerts throughout the summer featuring a broad range of music from jazz and baroque classical, you can sit and enjoy free local entertainment in the lazy summer evenings along with the local folk. Praca Dr Padinha (The Bishop's Triangle) is fertile ground for late night drinks and people watching.
Pegada is a private residential estate combining luxury apartments and private villas. It is located only a 10 minute stroll from the centre of Tavira making it an ideal base for your holiday on the east Algarve.. The estate is maintained to the highest standards at all times and the apartments are maintained by private managment companies. There is a good community spirit with neighbours looking out for each other and is largely made up of retired British ex-pats.
The Ilha de Tavira Beach can be reached by a short water-taxi or ferry from the pier down town. One of the best beaches along the entire coast, 7Km's of clean safe bathing complimented by a few cafes and bars, plenty of room to stretch out. Those with a car can journey out to further delights, within 10 mins drive there are a selection of blue flag beaches including, Cabanash, Manta Rota, Cacela Velha, Altura, and Monte Gordo. Remarkable un-developed and all are serviced with Board Walk, Parking and Good Facilities. Or head to Santa Luzia where you can catch a small train to Barrill Beach-truly awesome and a wonderful experience for children.
The Tavira Plaza opening June 2009 will host a wide selection of shops, resteraunts and large cinema complex. Faro town and Villa Real San Antonio can be reached by local train service for as little as 2Euro pp. The train platform known as the 'Porta Nova' is located across the main road from the estate of Pegada.
If you fancy a day sailing on board a 43ft luxury yacht then we can recommend a good friend who organises events for guests - At 9.00am, you will be picked up by car from your residence, then from Club Nautico you will be ferried out to Samo. Once aboard and familiarized with the boat, we prepare the boat to sail along to the Faro/Olhao entrance of the Ria Formosa where we drop anchor and serve a delicious lunch. With chilled wine or beer to hand, a warm breeze wafting across the deck, and the midday sun restrained by the boat’s large sun shade, one has to ask “Can life get better than this?”. Spirits refreshed, its time to weigh anchor and with a good afternoon breeze we head back apace. Deep blue sky, turquoise sea and glistening wave tops stretch out ahead for our homeward journey. But before we sight Tavira’s welcoming harbour entrance, if a dolphin or two choose to swim with us for a while then that can only be a bonus. Back on our mooring, you willl be ferried ashore and taxied back home in time for supper

Tavira is on the unspoilt east coast of the Algarve, exactly 25 mins drive from Faro Airport.
From the airport the No. 16 Bus to Faro located at the airport arrivals travels into Faro town centre and stops right outside the train station, trains to Tavira leave hourly and cost approx 2Euro. Please check Faro train station for schedule.
Buses to Tavira leave every hour from Faro central bus station for around 2 5 euro. www.eva-bus.com
Faro Airport also offer a Shuttle Service to Tavira prices start at 13 Euro per person.
Trains from the nearby station at Faro Central are cheaper. Approx 2 euro to Tavira.
There are also some excellent car hire companies based at Faro Airport. The roads in the east Algarve are very quiet compared to the west and driving is very easy and relaxed.

the apartment exceeded expectations, away from the hustle of the city but close to everything, bright, airy, simply furnished and comfortable, and quiet.
The air conditioning was a plus.
Sandra and Brian were very friendly, helpful and attentive.
It was a pleasure dealing with Fiona. Your tips were very useful.
If we can go back without a doubt.

My sister, niece & I have just returned from two weeks in this beautiful spacious apartment. The photographs didn't do it justice! We were very comfortable. It was a real home from home. Everything you could ever need was there. Having the barbecue on the balcony was a bonus and we used a lot. We loved Tavira and my sister & I did lots of walking round the town, discovering lovely hidden squares. Unfortunately, because my niece has walking & balance problems, it was not the ideal place for her but we took her down to Tavira town in a taxi and had lunch in a cafe a few times which she enjoyed. We also got a taxi to Gran Plaza for some retail therapy. In the afternoon the sun was on the balcony so we relaxed there. which was perfect
Brian and Sandra, the caretakers were great. Brian picked us up at the airport and took us back at the end of the holiday. The next day, Brian took us to Continente to get our big shop which was a great help. They live nearby so were on hand if there were any problems which there weren't . We were sorry to leave. Tavira is a special place.Hopefully, we'll go back sometime.
This apartment was so nice that it has spoiled us for anywhere else!

Tavira is a very pretty town we would like to keep quiet about to prevent over-commercialisation. The appartment is only 15 mins walk away and beautifully appointed, lots of space and very comfortable.
