This brand new ground floor apartment is open plan in design and is bright, airy and spacious. On entering the apartment, the lounge is simply furnished wit h comfortable leather sofas, TV and DVD player. This leads to a large dining area with table and chairs for up to 6 people.
The kitchen is equipped with modern facilities and offers a superb standard of self catering accommodation. The house bathroom is spacious and clean with bath and overhead shower, WC, bidet and hand basin. At the rear of the apartment are 2 comfortable bedrooms both with twin beds and large fitted wardrobes.
Additional people can be accommodated in the lounge on the double sofa beds. The apartment is air conditioned in all rooms

The apartment entrance has a small area for relaxing or alfresco dining. This patio area is private to the apartment, but does overlook the square and therefore is in the view of other apartments. Within the private condominium is a large swimming pool with decking which is for exclusively for the use of residents. The area is secured with locked gates.
Changeover days are flexible. Normal check in time is 4pm and checkout 10am. These times will only be applied if absolutely necessary and we will accommodate arrival and departure as fully as possible. Managment company available throughout stay for assistance if required.
The Algarve / East Algarve region
With its stunning coastline, excellent golf courses and pleasant year round climate, the Algarve's 200 kilometre stretch of southern shoreline has become one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. Bordered on two sides by the Atlantic Ocean, the Algarve is divided from the rest of Portugal by a series of low lying mountains. In the east, the Guadiana River forms a scenic border with neighbouring Spain.
There is a clear definition between the Western Algarve and the East. Whilst the West shows more development towards tourism, the Eastern Algarve and its tidal marshlands still have a tranquil beauty, and the small resorts along the coast have retained much of their character, looking today as they must have looked long ago. Here, tourism blends in perfectly with local activities creating a relaxed way of life. There is a tinge of excitement and even romance about the ferry boat trips to the beach islands, where visitors are rewarded with superb, less crowded bathing beaches and warm waters.
The sea water temperature is around 14c in January and reaches a high 22c in August. A pleasant sea breeze refreshes the temperatures of the region, which are around 15c in January and up to 28c or more in July and August. The Algarve can also count on around 3.000 hours of Sun during the year which makes it a favourite destination for those who fancy such a sunny climate. The autumn and winter months are mild, but you will need a jacket in the evening and some kind of heating in your apartment or hotel room. January is the coolest month of the year.
The Tavira / Central Tavira area
From the apartment, the town of Tavira can be reached on foot within several minutes, and you will not fail to be enthralled by its unspoilt charm, character and tranquility. As you wander along the cobbled streets, you'll see an abundance of history. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants, there are many churches (37 in total!) to view, along with the town castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park.
There is a wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce and a wide selection of fish. During the high season, horse drawn carriages and a small train operate around the town and are perfect for seeing all the sights and experiencing the peaceful ambience
BEACH – ILHA DE TAVIRA (TAVIRA ISLAND)
The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the Island of Tavira is no exception. As a natural island separated from the mainland by the River Formosa, it is reached by catching a ferry from a designated point in the harbor. A good range of facilities is offered including bars, restaurants, sunbeds and shades all boasting a wonderful holiday atmosphere amongst white sandy beaches and the rolling Atlantic Ocean. There are also a number of other beautiful beaches to be found all within a 20km radius.
OTHER THINGS TO SEE AND DO
Tavira itself is primarily a town for sight-seeing, dining and relaxing, however, by travelling a little further afield there are a good range of things to do to suit all tastes. For nature lovers there are forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or nature trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance!
By travelling towards the West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro and Ghia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine (wonderful for children), all easily reached by car (around 45 minutes) or by day trip coach. From this property it is easy to take a day trip to Spain.
The lovely border town of Ayamonte is not far by car, and once there you can sample the delights of another country, including wine, tapas and excellent shopping. Or you can travel by car, local bus or train to Vila Real de Santo Antonio and from there take the 15 minute ferry crossing to Ayamonte. For the more adventurous the vibrant city of Seville is approx 170km away. For budding historians the Castle at Castro Marim is worth a look.
This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 7 courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and can be reached within several minutes.
The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Travelling only 10kms further on towards Spain, the challenging course of Castro Marim, along with its famous country club comes highly recommended and on the Spanish border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses now growing in popularity. We can organise a full golfing package with 1 price per head with play at a selection of these courses, car hire and rental of this apartment. (Flights not included)

AIRLINES/AIRPORTS: The main airport serving the Algarve is FARO with all Eastern Algarve destinations being reached in around 45 minutes Other airports to consider are Lisbon, around 2.5 hours drive, and Sevilla, around 1.5 hours drive. DRIVING BY CAR: A22 motorway – quick and easy, but has toll charges. Alternatively, via the EN125 costal road and whilst a little slower, is free of toll charges. A 20% deposit is required to secure the reservation with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
The price includes cleaning before arrival and cleaning after departure. Clean bed linen and towels are also provided and will be changed during visits of more than 1 week.
A Refundable House Deposit of £150 or 150€ is required
