2 bedroomed apartment, ideally situated in the Rio Formosa nature reserve, close to beaches and golf courses, makes an ideal base for this area. Secure underground parking and lift access to the apartment. Large double bedroom to the rear has balcony overlooking the pool, which has a jacuzzi. The balcony provides views of the hills down to the sea and has the sun through the morning.
The second bedroom has twin beds. The large lounge has a sofa bed, and a large balcony with seating, which benefits from afternoon and evening sun, though a large sun shade is provided. Kitchen is fully furnished to provide home from home, with everything from juicer for fresh orange juice in the mornings to washer drier. Pool furniture and chairs & sun shades are provided to take down to the beach.

The Algarve region

Tavira / Mato Santo Espirito area
One of the oldest and most picturesque towns in the Algarve, Tavira has a quiet, friendly ambience and makes a pleasant place to stay. Along the coast, Santa Luzia is a seaside town with a fine tradition of octopus fishing.
Just inland, there is a fine Renaissance chruch at Luz de Tavira. Tavira has many cultural events throughout the year including; music in the churches during the winter months with many excellent musicians; antique fairs and book fairs throughout the summer; a gastranomy fair with stalls to sample local food; science museum; many historical churches; concerts; sailing events and many other things to do and see.
How to get there
25 minutes from Faro airport, with regular flights in through most budget airlines.
Most of the car hire companies are based at Faro Airport, though apartment is close to bus links.

Ideally situated for relaxing family holiday, close to long beautiful beaches, which are very child friendly. Chairs and sun shade are provided to take to the beach.
5 golf courses can be found within 15 kilometres, including Monte Rei and Quinta de Ria.
The apartment is in heart of the Rio Formosa nature reserves, as well as close to the Tavira forrest and Castro Marim reserve. I have seen eagles flying over the hills to the rear, and the area is well known for bird life, in particular flamingoes.
Tavira is a beautiful town centre for a holiday, set around a river with cafes and restaurants along the river front. Apartment is slightly outside of town centre, but taxis of an evening back to the apartment are quite cheap if you want to leave the car at home.
Further details outdoors: Apartment is set on a small development 1.5 km from Tavira. There is a bus service stopping nearby, but a car is recommended if first time visiting.
The underground car parking is accessed by remote control and the lift is taken from the garage area, so it feels very secure. In addition there is an enclosed small garden where the pool is, and toilets, showers and changing rooms adjacent to the pool. The area is overlooked by the back balcony, making it easy to watch over children. There is a children's play area near by. In addition there is video entrance for security and excellent neighbours. There is a cafe about 100 yards away, and next door to that is the deli with fresh bread daily. 2 restaurants and a cafe with take away service are within 250 yards.
