Each has its own private, palm-fringed swimming pool and secluded half-acre of sub-tropical garden. Quinta Serena is in a wonderful tranquil countryside setting where you can completely relax.
Casa Santolina & Casa Jasmina are sunny and light, each with charming timber-beamed rooms throughout, comfortable living room, dining area, and large terraces (with barbecues) where you can dine ‘al fresco’ under the stars. There is a café and restaurant within easy walk, and a sleepy traditional village, 3 mins drive away, offers a restaurant, post office, cash-point, pharmacy, mini-markets, tavernas and cafes. It's only 8 mins drive from beautiful medieval Tavira town with its riverside restaurants and cafes, and several uncrowded golden sandy beaches. 3 Golf courses 10 mins drive away, and Spain is just 30 mins drive.

The Algarve / East Algarve region
The Eastern Algarve is a beautiful unspoilt area, with miles of uncrowded golden beaches, ancient Moorish towns and picturesque villages.
BEACHES in the eastern Algarve are wide, sandy and safe for children, with the EC Blue Flag for cleanliness. The nearest beach is about 12 minutes drive from Casa Estella. Refreshments and meals, sun-beds and parasols, are available on all local beaches. Particularly beautiful is Tavira Island which can be reached by a short ferry ride. Most local beaches are within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, famed for its flamingoes, rare birds and plants.
The Spanish border is only thirty minutes drive from Casa Estella, and historic Seville is 1.5 hours drive and, with its ancient palaces, cathedrals and riverside parks and cafes, is well worth a visit.
Tavira area
TAVIRA TOWN Tavira is a picturesque town, with narrow cobbled streets, beautiful riverside gardens, many restaurants, old palaces, castle ruins and ancient Roman bridge spanning a wide river. There is a large daily vegetable and fish market, a wide variety of small shops, and a good selection of river-side restaurants where you may eat “al fresco”. During the summer evenings Tavira hosts many cultural activities - from the visiting national ballet, and classical concerts in one of Tavira’s ornate ancient churches, to local folk dancing under the stars in the central gardens by the river.

How to get there
Fly to Faro Airport with eg EasyJet, Air 2000, British Airways, TAP, etc. Also good fare prices flying Ryan Air from London Stansted to Seville. (Drive takes under 1.5 hrs, Seville to Quinta Serena). Flights also to Cadiz, or Jerez, Spain. Car hire is suggested to get the best out of the Eastern Algarve.

CASA JASMINA: Casa Jasmina has two charming timber-beamed bedrooms, sleeping 4 people. Both bedrooms are on the first floor, with wonderful views over the sub-tropical gardens. ·The master bedroom has a generous super-kingsize bed (180cm/ 6ft wide). The shower rooms are decorated with traditional hand-painted Portuguese tiles. There is a spacious well-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, hob and microwave. The traditional timber-beamed living room and dining area is comfortably furnished. Patio doors open onto a covered terrace surrounded by sub-tropical plants, beside the swimming pool.

Wow! It is the only time we have found that a rental property was even better than the photographs published! The decorations & furnishings are excellent. The bedrooms are large, and the beds very comfy. Every detail was finished to the highest standard.
