It’s only 6 mins drive from beautiful medieval Tavira with its riverside restaurants, and several uncrowded golden sandy beaches. Casa Jasmina has a wonderful tranquil countryside setting and is the perfect place to relax and restore your spirits.

The Algarve / East Algarve region
The Eastern Algarve is a beautiful unspoilt area, with miles of uncrowded golden beaches, ancient Moorish towns and picturesque villages.
BEACHES in the eastern Algarve are wide, sandy and safe for children, with the EC Blue Flag for cleanliness. The nearest beach is about 12 minutes drive from Casa Jasmina. Refreshments and meals, sun-beds and parasols, are available on all local beaches. Particularly beautiful is Tavira Island which can be reached by a short ferry ride. Most local beaches are within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, famed for its flamingoes, rare birds and plants.
The Spanish border is only thirty minutes drive from Casa Jasmina, and historic Seville is 1.5 hours drive and, with its ancient palaces, cathedrals and riverside parks and cafes, is well worth a visit.
Distances from Casa Jasmina: Nearby village of Santo Estevao is 3 mins drive. Medieval Tavira is 6 mins drive. Spain is only 30 mins away, and Seville is 1.5 hours drive.
Tavira area
Tavira is a picturesque town, with narrow cobbled streets, beautiful riverside gardens, many restaurants, old palaces, castle ruins and ancient Roman bridge spanning a wide river. There is a large daily vegetable and fish market, a wide variety of small shops, and a good selection of river-side restaurants where you may eat alfresco. During the summer evenings Tavira hosts many cultural activities - from the visiting national ballet, and classical concerts in one of Tavira’s ornate ancient churches, to local folk dancing under the stars in the central gardens and jazz at the amphitheatre by the river.

How to get there
Flights to Faro Airport with eg. Aer Lingus (London Gatwick-Faro); EasyJet; British Airways; Monarch; Air 2000; Thompson-fly, etc. Also good fare prices flying Ryan Air from London Stansted to Seville. (Drive takes under 1.5 hrs, Seville to Quinta Serena). Flights also to Cadiz, or Jerez, Spain. Car hire is suggested to get the best out of the Eastern Algarve.

Both bedrooms are on the first floor, with wonderful views over the sub-tropical gardens. ·The master bedroom has a generous super-kingsize bed (180cm/ 6ft wide). En suite shower room ·The twin bedded double room. En suite shower room.
The shower rooms are decorated with traditional hand-painted Portuguese tiles. There is a spacious well-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, hob and microwave. The traditional timber-beamed living room and dining area is comfortably furnished. Patio doors open onto a covered terrace surrounded by sub-tropical plants, beside the swimming pool.
Further details outdoors: Casa Jasmina stands on a hillside with outstanding views of the countryside, with its ancient olive trees, vineyards and orange groves. The house and private pool are surrounded by beautiful sub-tropical gardens with many exotic plants and trees. Palms, jasmine, pistachio, mimosa, pepper and almond trees fringe the whole area. Patio doors open onto a partially-covered terrace which offers some shade, and four steps lead up to the large sunbathing deck and the secluded palm-fringed swimming pool. The pool is approximately 6 x 3.5 metres. You can dine ‘al fresco’ under the stars, beside the pool which may be floodlit at night. Barbecue, sun loungers, patio furniture, and parasols are provided. Casa Jasmina is the perfect place to relax and restore your spirits.

Owner managed, with good attention to detail. Maid service, linen, towels (except for beach/pool) are provided. Cot & highchair available. On day of arrival you may enter villa after 3pm, please vacate the villa by 10am on day of departure. Information file with ideas on local places to go, and things to do.

Wow! It is the only time we have found that a rental property was even better than the photographs published! The decorations and furnishings are excellent. The bedrooms are large, and the beds very comfy. Every detail was finished to the highest standard. The location in the countryside is wonderful, while still being near Tavira, and all the beaches. Hurren family, UK.
We were impressed with the stylish design, and high standard of the villa. This is a very classy villa. Such care has gone into even the smallest detail. We all had a tremendous holiday, thoroughly enjoyable and we hope to revisit in the future. - Norenius family, Norway.
