Situated in a peaceful and modern housing complex, this tastefully furnished 2 bedroom apartment is ideal for any type of holiday maker – whether to use as a base from which to explore the delights of the Eastern Algarve, enjoy some of the spectacular golf courses or to simply enjoy a relaxing pool/beach break. Very recently built, this accommodation offers and excellent standard of self catering accommodation and is situated close to major road networks. Everything you could wish for is in close proximity. The small and quaint village of Conceicao has a mini-market, butchers, several coffee bars and restaurants – only 2 minutes walk away! For a little more enjoyment, the seaside resort of Cabanas is around 1km away and whilst filled with shops bars and restaurants offers a local fishing village charm. There are many different places to eat including Portuguese, Italian and English cuisines, a range of friendly local Tascas and several late night bars, although the night-life is generally relaxed and ‘low-key‘. To the West lies Albufeira where you’ll find many themed activities for the kids including Water parks, Zoos and Go-Karting. There are also 2 large shopping Centres in Faro and Guia. Due to the improved motorway networks, you can travel to Ayamonte in Spain to enjoy wine and Tapas, only 30 kms away. In addition, the beautiful city of Seville is approx 175 kms away, around 2.5 hours if travelling by car.

The Algarve region
The Algarve's 200 kilometre stretch of southern shoreline is one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. The region has attracted visitors since the time of the Phoenicians, but today it caters for millions of tourists a year with its stunning coastline, excellent golf courses and pleasant year round climate. Bordered on two sides by the Atlantic, the Algarve is divided from the rest of Portugal by a series of low lying mountains. In the east, the Guardiana River forms a scenic border with neighbouring Spain. The region's capital, Faro, is built around a charming harbour at the edge of a wide lagoon. Its main attractions include a maritime museum and a 13th century cathedral. The Eastern Algarve is very different compared to the rugged beauty found west of Faro. It’s tidal marshlands have a tranquil beauty and the small resorts along the coast have retained much of their character, looking today as they must have looked long ago. Here, tourism blends in perfectly with local activities creating a relaxed way of life. There is a tinge of excitement and even romance about those ferry or tiny boat trips to the islands, where visitors are rewarded with superb, less crowded bathing beaches and warm waters.
Tavira / Conceicao area
The famous and beautiful town of Tavira is located in the heart of the Eastern Algarve only 30 kms from Faro Airport and 30 kms from the Spanish border. From Conceicao, the distance is around 5 kms. As one of the region’s oldest and most attractive towns, you cannot fail to be enthralled by its charm, character and tranquillity. Once known as the capital of the Algarve, you’ll see an abundance of history - a Roman Bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants. As well as viewing the many fine C18th buildings and churches (37 in total!), you can visit the old castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman’s harbour which links to the waters of the Ria Formosa Natural Park. The local beach of Tavira is known as ‘Ilha de Tavira’ as is accessible by small ferry boat from the town harbour. The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the beach of Cabanas is no exception. As a naturally formed island separated from the mainland by the River Formosa, it is reached by catching a small and inexpensive water taxi from a designated point in the small harbour. A good range of facilities is offered including snack bars, sun beds for hire and a wonderful holiday atmosphere amongst golden sands and the rolling Atlantic Ocean.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Faro, which is served by most of the budget airlines, as well as scheduled flights, on a daily basis from most airports in UK. We can arrange airport transfers, or car hire, at very reasonable rates. The apartment is situated close to major road networks, and is easy to get to from the airport, or indeed from Spain.

This apartment is designated as non smoking. Location is first floor, with no lifts, so access for elderly or less-able people will need to be carefully considered. Due to the increasing popularity of Conceicao and Cabanas, some local building work is evident. We regret that we are unable to accept pets.
