This beautiful apartment is decorated to a modern standard. The lounge/diner is set away from the bedrooms and has 2 sofas one being the sofa bed. The view is straight out to sea! The flat widescreen TV and DVD with satellite connection to Portuguese free to air which includes all BBC and ITV channels including Cbeebees plus French Italian Spanish channels. It will also take playstations. From the time you reach the apprtment you can relax. Put the car in the underground car park and take your cases by lift to the 2nd floor. This is the tallest you can build in the area in front and one story more behind. Walk along to the outside gate then the front door and take in the view. The apartment has large sliding doors that look out over the Ria Famosa...just stunning! We will be adding 30 channel satelitte telly next year which will include English free view channels, Portugeese etc

The terrace has a brick built BBQ with all you need to grill your Sea Bream on. Complemented by 4 recliner chairs to straight back chairs, a large table and 4 white sun loungers with cushions. The terrace is probably bigger than the apartment SO you will get the sun all day and sunsets in the evening. It has a covered pagoda should you prefer to sit in the shade. Should you wish to hire bikes we can provide 3 bikes for 15€ each per week. We have now added 3 radiators in each room for winter lets. All on timers.
This apartment is family owned and not on the back of a business empire so we do request a deposit for breakages of £150 returnable upon your return once the apartment has been cleaned. A securing deposit to secure the weeks you request of half the amount due straight away and balance 4 weeks before departure. At the time of paying the balance we ask for the breakages deposit.
We will consider any long term bookings, subject to availability. Corporate bookings will incur a large breakages deposit.
The Algarve / East Algarve region
Santa Luzia is a small fishing community providing a variety of local caught fish and Octopus for the many local bars and restaurants. It has a pleasant palm tree water front a sand spit called the Ria Fomosa seperating the town from the ocean. With its very wide and expansive beaches that regularly win awards being the cleanest in Europe that can be reached by foot, boat or small open sided train. They are protected by Government for the environment and provide the perfect day by the beach or long walk. Surfing and canoeing activites can be under taken, there are bars and cafes at the train beach with toilet facilites. July and August are the hottest months with temperatures extremely pleasant the rest of the year.
All the Aqua parks are in easy reach by car. The nearest being 40 mins away.
Some exceptional Golf course are now very near including Monte Rei. Less than 30 mins. A choice of 7 courses in 30 mins West Algarve 40 mins.
The Tavira / Santa Luzia, Tavira area
Santa Luzia is perfectly situated for many attractions and site seeing. Tavira is is just 3k away so you can easily walk, take your car, catch a bus or taxi for 5 euros. Originally a roman town it was sacked by the Moores and rebuilt and various conquerors have had a dable in its architecture. It has a Venitian quality about its river front with its plentiful bars, restaurants and shops. There are mountains to the rear of the town that provide some stunning views and some old ways of life. Golf courses and 15,20, and 30 minutes away. Santa Luzia has its festival in Early August. A drive to the west coast only takes 1hour and 15 minutes.

Flights are daily to Faro from all UK Main airports. Faro is just 30mins drive away. However, Ryanair run a service to Seville at vastly reduced rates. A car is prefereable but taxis are about €45 each way from Faro.

Our second visit to this appt, it really is super. We had just as good a time as last year. Its so convenient. You dont really need a car but if you want to explore a bit, a car is useful. We found free WIFI in several bars so you can keep in touch with the world if you need to. Otherwise its the perfect place to chill out. Have already recommended the appt and village to several friends who are very disappointed to see its about fully booked til October - just shows how popular it is

We had a superb time in this lovely apartment. The interior is very comfortable and the outside space enormous. You are able to sit in the sun or the shade whatever the time of day. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat.
The views are over the Ria Formosa are beautiful, especially in the evening.
There are numerous bars and resturants in Santa Luzia - a visit to Tavira is also a must.

This property has the perfect location in a lovely village setting minutes from restaurants 2 small general stores one with butcher(they make burgers to order)a fishmonger and several bars. Train or ferry to beach or stay at home and use the pool and pool terrace. The roof terrace area of this home is huge and has lovely views over the village and the ria formosa and beyond. Catch the bus into Tavira for more shops,supermarkets,restaurants bars etc. Myself and family had the most amazing holiday here in Tavira and will return. Thanks Ian and family for the use of your lovely property.
