This house has been completed to the highest spec. to provide a luxurious holiday location. Outside there is a large shared pool with a decking area with sun beds, a children’s pool and a fence play area which, as yet, is not equipped.

Tavira is considered to be the jewel in the Eastern Algarve which is a less discovered side of the Algarve. The town dated from 2000BC and is situated on the Guardiano River.
The Tavira area
It can be visited by miniature train, horse and carriage or on foot. Cruise the river, take a ferry to the beach on the Isla de Tavira. Enjoy a meal or drink along the waterfront or down one of the cobbled streets.
The restaurants are extremely reasonable boasting Portuguese and international cuisine, splendid wine, all without breaking the bank. Visit the fish market, churches, ruins, museum, bars. Enjoy the night-life.
The Wetalnds of the Ria Formosa form a conservation area and offer much for nature lovers with bird watching, walking and fishing.Golf lovers will find an abundance of first rate courses on the Algarve.
The Eastern Algarve boasts several of its own including the new Jack Nicklaus course at Monte Re. All courses are easily accessible by car. Nearest – Benamor, Quinta de Cima, Quinta de Ria – all 10 minutes by car
Other sporting activities include water sports cycling tennis fishing walking horse riding swimming water parks..
From Tavira the Spanish border is within 30 minutes. The wonderful old town of Seville is only 11/2 to 2 hours by car or train or head off to Faro with its shops night life restaurants etc. or beyond to the more developed Western Algarve – Vilamoura Albefuera Lagos.

Light floods into the property through the central atrium of glass blocks, so there are no dark corners anywhere. You have a choice of two lovely roof terraces, one overlooking the town and river, and one overlooking the complex gardens and pool. Both are very inviting. The kitchen has all mod cons and is big enough to hold a dance in. Directly opposite the property is a flight of steps which takes you down to town level, then a two minute stroll along the fish filled river, observing the industrious house martins building their nests, and you are in the centre. |

We stayed at townhouse AQ at Terracos de Tavira. From the pictures pretty sure this is it. Light, fresh and modern decor. On 3 levels including roof gardens. Kitchen was big and well equipped.... more |
