Cornflower Cottage is an enchanting, luxury five star conversion of a detached 16th Century Grade 2 Listed Barn. The cottage is situated in the beautiful conservation village of Halse in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty but still only 6 miles from junction 25 of the M5, our location makes us perfect for both short breaks and longer holidays.
Halse is in a perfect position for a holiday, set between the Quantock Hills, Exmoor, the Brendon Hills and the Blackdown Hills.

Cornflower Cottage has been superbly converted and the accommodation is attractive and spacious.
The kitchen / breakfast room has a beautiful oak floor and is well-equipped with shaker style units, electric oven and halogen hob, washer/drier, dishwasher, fridge freezer and traditional pine table and chairs
There is an open plan feel to the living areas downstairs with the oak flooring continuing in to the sitting room. This is a very comfortable room with a wood burning stove, sofas and television/dvd/freeview (we have a mini library of assorted dvd’s). Downstairs is a twin bedded room, the beds can be zip and linked to make a six foot double. This bright, sunny room is suitable for disabled access.
There is also a stylish modern bathroom downstairs. Upstairs is a stunning bedroom with a five foot bed and an additional full sized single bed, this bedroom also has an en suite shower room and toilet.. The barn has lovely views across our field and whichever animals are keeping the grass down!

The cottage is located on the owners charming farm, on the edge of the conservation village of Halse. The garden is totally enclosed, safe and fun for dogs and children!
There is a paved terrace with wooden garden furniture and bbq, as well as countless pots fo flowers and herbs for guests to enjoy!

We do allow dogs at West Hayes Barn, by prior arrangement, to discuss breeds and number!
The barn is in a fantastic location for dog walking as you do not need to step more than fifty yards on a road of any description to be able to walk for miles. The footpaths and bridleways on the Quantocks, Exmoor and Blackdown Hills are great for both flat and hilly walks, as long or short as you wish. We provide, in the barn details of walks, both close to Halse and further afield.
