Further details indoors:
The fairy tale exterior of the Treehouse opens to reveal a spacious, sumptuous interior, carefully designed to sleep five in luxury.
The open plan living area contains the kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The solid wood floor feels warm all year round with the benefit of underfloor heating. The underfloor heating runs throughout the Treehouse.
The simple shaker style kitchen, with its clean lines, beech worktop and Belfast sink compliments all that is organic and natural at the Treehouse. Its stunning simplicity blends with all the 21st century appliances one would expect including dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, oven, hob and fridge freezer to create the ultimate in self-catering luxury. But of course, if you wish to do nothing more strenuous than open the champagne, we can arrange caterers or book table at restaurants for you.
In the living area is a fabulous wood burning stove, designed to compliment the underfloor heating and add a focal point on those chilly evenings. The comfy, squishy sofas are great for relaxing and a plasma television with Freeview channels, an i-Pod docking station and stereo complete the area. We also provide a small library of DVDs and CDs suitable for all ages.
There is a comfortable dining area with a wonderful table next to a window. There is plenty of space for five to eat comfortably and lots of opportunities to keep an eye on the ponies and sheep grazing in the field.
The bunk room is accessed off the main living area, a cosy room for either children or adults. It has built-,in, craftsman built, full size bunk beds. This light room certainly captures children’s dreams and imaginations.
The fabulous bathroom is also accessed from the main living area. This is a wonderful room, with top quality bath and bowl basin. It is a room in which to while away an hour or two with a good book and a glass of something cold! What could be finer for the soul than a treetop bath! For children, any bathtime in the Treehouse is a treat!
The master bedroom, entered by climbing a magical spiral staircase, is a most fabulous room.
The leaves of the magnificent lime tree gently stroke the cedar shingle and timber clad exterior, whilst the fabulous starlit Somerset skies can be glimpsed through the fairytale triangular skylights and the sensational opening triangular windows.
The six foot, superking size white iron bed can also bed separated to create two, three foot single beds for greater flexibility. The bed lies beneath a triangular skylight (complete with wooden shutters!); you can lie in bed and be within the tree's wonderful canopy and also beneath the stars!
A day bed in a pod area off the main octagonal space provides an additional bed and also a great place to relax and ponder a while! A space where winding down is simplicity itself. An individually crafted wardrobe provides plenty of storage. This fabulous bedroom also has an additional flat screen television.
Further details outdoors:
French doors open onto the decking at the front of the treehouse and with stylish outdoor furniture, this area has been created as an extension to the living areas. The magical lighting makes it a perfect spot for evenings relaxing over supper or simply a drink!
