Situated centrally at the start of the SouthWest peninsula we are in easy reach of no less than three county towns, Dorchester in Dorset (30miles), Exeter in Devon (30 miles) and Taunton in Somerset (18 miles).

There is so much to do in this area. Visit Glastonbury Abbey, which has incredible architecture and history which you can learn all about. Or visit the Haynes Motor museum which is an excellent day out for all the family and the largest international motor museum in Britain.

Catch up on some retail therapy at the Clarks Village, which has over 80 designer outlet shops to see. If you fancy something different head to Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, which has many different animal species in over 110 acres of land.

Along with the many National trust properties and English Heritage sites we are within an hours drive of two National Parks, Dartmoor and Exmoor. The beautiful Somerset levels are just 10 miles away. Wildlife and birdlife are in abundance in the gardens and surrounding countryside. Only 25 mins from the south coast where East Devon meets West Dorset. and the Jurassic coast. 10 mins drive from the nearest golf course.

"Comfortable surroundings with friendly landlord and lady"

We found the accommodation comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The couple who own the property live upstairs over the accommodation, and were friendly without compromising our privacy. Although the property is right on the edge of the main road going through the village, it was still very quiet most of the time with traffic. There's a great pub serving good home-cooked food at reasonable prices about a 5 minute walk away. They were very friendly towards our dog, allowing him access to the garden and facilities to clear away his mess without any fuss.
