The Heart of England/Peak District
Lincolnshire is known to be one of the driest parts of England. Although fairly flat it has a wonderful charm all of it's own. The quiet...the lack of traffic makes travel pleasant...busier in towns of course.
Lincolnshire is a vegetable growing area, fresh as a daisy. You can see for miles, often. You will find people very friendly, due to their daily prescription of peace...I'm sure. If you wish to unwind, Lincolnshire is the place to do so.
Tattershall, although very rural, is rich in nearby amenities. Supermarket in the village and Post Office/Newsagents.
History surrounds us with the splendid Tattershall Castle framing the village. The next village is Coningsby, with St Michaels Church and it's famous one handed clock. Coningsby RAF base, to view famous aircraft, going back to wartime, with Dakotas, Spitfires and Hurricanes. Also, the Battle of Britain Flight.
Woodhall Spa is the jewel of Lincolnshire, with it's woods and what is respected as the finest Golf course in the UK. The famous Kinema in the woods, is a treat, with 2 of the latest films shown. Jubilee Park with it's heated outdoor swimming pool. The Petwood Hotel is set in fabulous, landscaped gardens. Have lunch on the terrace and absorb the lovely setting. All just 4 miles away.
Louth is a wonderful market town and sits within the picturesque Lincolnshire wolds, 40 mins by car.
Garden centres such as Ruskington with it's Eaterie of repute. Excellent Chinese Restaurant in Tattershall and Indian in Woodhall Spa.
Great Pubs in the area too...with a very wide food choice.
