"Excellent accomodation, all we needed!"

We had a lovely weekend thank you and have no complaints at all. I saw a bad review before we went and cant understand their comments at all, serial complainer me thinks! It was spotless when we got there and had everything we needed. Fresh bedding, clean everywhere and cooking facilities were great. This was a base for our family trip to visit nearby places however I would have been happy to stay in the lodge all day. The views of the lakes were fabulous, the hot tub was lovely and enjoyed by us all. The owner Lee was very helpful and friendly and returned the deposit very quickly. Would definately go back and stay there again. Thank you

"Excellent base, spacious, comfortable with eveything we needed."

We stayed May half term a party of 2 adults, 2 children and 2 OAPs. There was plenty of room for all 6 of us. The owner, Lee, was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. The information he gave us about the area was really useful and the welcoming bottle of fizz was a lovely touch. There was plenty to do on the park for my boys aged 11 & 4. They tried swimming, fishing, my 11 yr old had a go at the cable wakeboard and ringo ride. The park itself could do with some more staff and some attention, but to come back to such a lovely lodge was wonderful. The boys loved the ducks coming to the door and the sight of the jets, helicopters and even a spitfire flying over. My in-laws wanted to live there! I have already recommended it to my friends.

"Top quality lodge at a reasonable price"

The lodge is a lot bigger than the photos suggest with plenty of room in all 3 bedrooms, shower room and kitchen / diner. The location of the lodge at the rear of the waterski lake has to be the best spot to escape the seething crowds on a sunny weekend while still enjoying the views over the lake and the golf course to the rear. Neighbouring lodges appear to be owner occupied and thus all external areas are very well presented and maintained, the neighbours are also very friendly. The owner Lee, was courteous and considerate from the start to the end of the holiday including prompt return of the damage retainer / deposit. Overall no complaints and we will be returning in Autumn.

"When can we come back ??"

The lodge itself is perfectly situated on the edge of a large lake and the hot tub overlooking the lake makes this a perfect retreat. The lodge is bigger than we expected with decent sized bedrooms and large open plan kitchen/living space. It was spotless throughout. The floor length windows overlook the lake and the log fire made it cosy. Once inside the hot tub we forgot how cold it was outside and a glass or two of wine made the expreience even more special. One night we stayed in the hot tub for about 3 hours , stargazing and taking in the views. This really is a lovely place. We have 2 children and they enjoyed it as well. There's a really nice pub at the entrance of the site which does nice food and there's also a helpful folder in the lodge with take away menus which we found really useful. There are plenty of facilities on the site to keep the children and adults busy but to be honest we loved the lodge that much we just enjoyed being there.

"Lovely, would go back tomorrow if I could"

When we arrived we were welcomed with the lovely entrance and to the right we met the living room , dining room and kitchen which was open plan. This was beautifully laid out and very comfortable. The bedrooms are of decent sizes and the bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable! The lodge was at the opposite side of the entrance and the only way to it was on a muddy track with lots of pot holes, this was because at the other side they were re-surfacing the road. We both most enjoyed the hot tub and the log fire as they added the extra spark to our romantic weekend. We least liked the walking distance along the muddy track to the pub in the entrance but this wasn't helped with the rain and wind all weekend.
All in all it was a fabulous weekend and we will be returning as soon as we can!!
