Shoveler Lodge is a comfortable, well equipped cabin, with it's own private hot-tub for the exclusive use of guests at Shoveler. It's all on one level, set in the heart of a 365 acre site that offers something for everyone - from a gentle stroll around one of the seven lakes to an exhilarating spin on waterskis. The Heart of England / Peak District / Lincolnshire region

Lincolnshire is a rural county in the East Midlands enjoying long stretches of level, sandy coastline. The climate tends to be drier than other part of the UK although it can be windy. In the south of the county you'll find the Fens that look very similar to the landscape of Holland, particularly when the tulip fields are in flower. To the north/east you'll find the Wolds, a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
From Grimsby in the north to the Wash in the south, the coastline boasts something for all tastes- whether you want a quiet day bird watching or visiting the seals at Donna Nook or a day with the children at Fantasy Island Lincolnshire has it all.

The Tattershall area

Tattershall Lakes Country Park is a 365 acre site with it's own water-ski lake, jet-ski lake,four fishing lakes and an 18 hole golf course. From Easter to the end of October the club house, with it's bars,diner,indoor heated swimming pool,gym and sauna are open with entertainment and a children's club,subject to purchase of entertainment passes from Guest Services on site.
RAF Coningsby, home to the Euro fighter, is close to the site and with it's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight provides an interesting day out. Nearby (4 miles) Woodall Spa has a cinema, tennis courts, golf courses, woodland walks, an outdoor heated swimming pool (summer only) and a host of interesting shops and restaurants. Horncastle (8 miles) is well known for it's antique shops and Lincoln city (23 miles) has it's beatiful catherdral and famous Christmas Market.

“Absolutely divine!!!!” I stayed here last weekend with my mum, sister, daughter and my daughters friend, we had a lovely weekend, the weather was cold and snowing, but that just added to the weekend of relaxation we all wanted :) the cabin is excellent, the photos on here show that, but in real life its just as nice, clean, spacious, every single thing you could want, the hot tub was an added bonus, lovely at the end of the day to jump into and relax in, and when it snowed it was fantastic, sitting in hot bubbles watching the cold snow..... It was a perfect weekend to book as it was quiet on the site, which is what we wanted, so we all locked ourselves in the cabin and made use of the dvd player by having an entire twilight weekend, it was warm, cosy and so relaxing!!! Gary is a pleasure to speak too, he really makes you feel welcome about staying, if you have any problems which I didnt, I knew he would be at the end of the phone, I found it so easy to book this cabin and the whole experience was perfect! I have found somewhere I know I want to go back to again and again and like the other reviews on here I will be booking again for this year, this in itself shows what a perfect place to spend the weekend or week it is :) Everyone of us enjoyed it,we laughed non stop the entire time, because we all felt so relaxed and at home, thank you so much Gary and Chris for a wonderful time and we will certainly be coming back :)

“perfect for relaxation, leisure and enjoying nature” Gary was a perfect host, very helpful and informative. The property was very well equipped, lots of games and jigsaws, really comfy bed and some nice little special touches like the water filter jug. The hot tub was keot extremelly clean which is very important it was also a really good temperature and although we didnt use it a BBQ. The site has some great walks which was perfect for us and our dog. The leisure centre was great for me as I love to swim and my husband got in some fishing. What more could you ask for? Oh yes the lovely ducky couples visiting in the morning to help with breakfast. We will definately go back to this lodge it had everything we wanted for our much needed break, I just hope it doesnt become too popular and there is no space in Gary's calender for us. Thanks Gary

“AMAZING” I booked this weekend for my boyfriends 30th birthday... best gift ever.. the logcabin was so beautiful heated floors were lovely the bed was that comfy i didnt want to get out of it!!! the hot tub was wow wow wow...... i can honisty say i didnt want to leave on the sunday we had that mush fun!! we were made very welcome by the owner, and he showed us round the cabin... i advise anyone who would like to vist do it do it do it xxx we will defo b returning big thank you to gary and chris xxxx

“Lovely Lodge” Booked the lodge for a weekend fishing/relaxing break and it was perfect. After a friendly welcome when we arrived we found the lodge to be Lovely furnished with underfloor heating, mod cons and really cosy and somewhere to relax, the hot tub was fab! Thank you

“Very well equipped lodge, incredibly helpful owner- a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.” We were kindly guided into the park by the owner Gary, having lost our instructions and were greeted outside. Gary showed us around the very well equipped lodge where a bottle of wine and a Birthday card was waiting for me- a lovely gesture. He explained how to use everything and gave us information about where to go and what to do in the area. We had the most wonderfully relaxing break, walking around the lakes with our twin babies, chilling out in the luxurious hot tub whilst looking at the stars and watching movies on the lovely big tv. We went to a couple of restaurants and I'd really recommend The Bustard Arms near Sleaford, the food was delicious! We would love to go back ASAP. Thanks again Gary for being so accommodating throughout our stay.

“Fabulous, comfortable, homely lodge with great amenities” The Lodge was really homely and had all mod cons. Gary was really helpful should you have any queries or problems. The hot tub was an added bonus as it was only just installed when we arrived. Would recommend highly. Lovely walks and places to visit. :0)

“Fantastic stay, great hospitality - Not to be missed!” This was an absolutely superb weekend in a beautiful log cabin, private hot tub (fab), underfloor heating with stunning wildlife! The owners are absolutely top notch, a chilled bottle of wine and a card were there to welcome me and my partner (it was her birthday). The attention to detail is second to none and they really care..all we can say is thanks Gary, we will definitely see you soon (we will bring our 8 year old Lily next time, she will love the wild geese and ducks that come up to greet you in a morning!)
