The ancient observatory of the Straits, Continental Europe's southernmost vacation residence offers above average comfort in 2 INDEPENDENT QUIET AND PRIVATE APARTMENTS, both having sea views.

Situated at one of the most unique places of the world, between 2 seas and 2 continents, dominating the steep shore of Tarifa, with unsurpassed views of the Straits of Gibraltar and the mountainous coastline of Morocco (14km).

Tranquilly located in a nature park, 200m to an intimate sand/stone beach and only 500m walk to the old town centre.

Apartment TANGER provides comfort for 2-4 pers., tastefully furnished, richly equipped, SAT TV, internet access,Hifi system/audio cd player. Living/dining room with seats 4, sofa, 3 sideboards. Remark: On advanced request you can choose between prepared living/dining room or equipped salon (sofa, easy chairs - see photo), thanks to kitchen with dining area for 4. Sleeping room with 2 single beds (normally are linked).
Large wooden well fitted kitchen with pantry, En suite bathroom (bath and bidet). Terrace facing the the Straits and private shady garden with barbecue belongs to this apt.. Apt. with best panoramic views of all rentals in Tarifa.

An incorporated Studio (sleeps for 2, fridge/freezer, inbuilt wardrobe and en suite shower room with bidet) can be rented addit. , sea views (210 Euro).

Enjoy the small wind sheltered garden with pavilion and charcoal grill, the hiking trails leading directly from the private property into the surrounding nature park area and along the wild, still virgin coast.

“AN UNFORGETTABLE VACATION” This year for our holiday we went to Tarifa. We booked the Apartment “Tanger “, in the house Estrella del Estrecho, for 11 days. The great location of this structure, built in 1860 and restored with great knowledge and passion by the current owners, convinced us that we were in the right place to spend our holiday in absolute tranquility and breathtaking views at every awakening: view on the Straits of Gibraltar and the coastline of Marocco. The Apartment is tastefully decorated, spacious, clean and equipped. To make it more enjoyable, our stay was supported by the kindness of the owners, very discreet, but always there to give us some advices about the places to visit and restaurants , where you can appreciate typical dishes. It was an unforgettable vacation to repeat for sure.

“Wonderful location” The Apartment 'Tanger' is a real gem, nestled on a cliff high above the town it offers views over the med to Morocco and the town of Tarifa itself. The walk into town was via a cobbled country track that only takes about 10 minutes so we had the best of both worlds. A truly wonderful location.

“Great apartment in an amazing location!” We had a lovely week staying in Apartment Tarifa at the Estrella del Estrecho, a converted former observatory. Situated on top of a cliff above Tarifa, it's an absolutely stunning spot with views across the sea to Morocco. The property is located in an area of National Park next to Tarifa itself, and you have to go the long way round to get there by road (approx. 10 mins drive from Tarifa, and easy to do once you know how!) The owners will ask you to come to a location in Tarifa and then provide the final instructions for getting to the property once you can see the relevant landmarks. However once there, you can walk down the cliffside from the apartment to Tarifa old town in about 10 mins - we found this walk absolutely fine (even on the way back up after a few drinks in the town in the evening, but perhaps not good for anyone with mobility difficulties as it is quite a steep slope). The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for the week (including a surprisingly good shower, very welcome after days spent kitesurfing). Tarifa itself is a lovely place, so much to do and see, would definitely recommend both Tarifa itself and this apartment!
