Pyreneasy offers two self catering Cottages/Gites

Our tastefully converted farmhouse is a home away from home in the beautiful foothills of French Pyrenees, an area unspoiled by mass tourism. Ideal for relaxing or mountain activities holidays. The cottages surround a traditional French farmhouse courtyard with half an acre of green lawns, gardens, barbeque facilities, swimming pool, trampoline and Russian sauna!

Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, salon with log burning fireplace, master bedroom with double bed, second bedroom (2 or 3 beds), shower, with washing machine and all modern conveniences including wifi.

There is plenty to do in the Pyrenees:

i) In the winter there are several ski resorts, the nearest 30 minutes away, the local thermal spas, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing are all on offer, and Pyreneasy's crackling log fires, or a hot sauna are available as welcome relief at the end of a day out.

ii) In the summer, hiking, cycling (the col de Tourmalet and col D'Aspin of Tour de France fame are close by), mountain biking, white water rafting, canoeing, climbing, horseriding, golf, birdwatching, photography, painting, and fishing are also available. A dip in the pool, a bounce of the trampoline, and a barbeque at Pyreneasy are also on offer.

There are also many opportunities to visit places of interest such as the local prehistoric caves, chateau or castles, a pilgrimage to Lourdes (30 minutes), or one of the many the health SPA's create opportunities for activity and entertainment.

Your welcoming hosts are a font of local knowledge and can guide you to anything you might need.

The air is clean, the food is amazing, and the natural setting is awsome!

Major supermarkets are within 5 minutes, and the local town offers a Sunday market, minimarket, bakeries, and 3 restaurants/bars.

The Midi-Pyrénées region

If you want adventure and action in summer or winter, then a trip to the Haute Pyrenees is a must. Decide what activity you want to do, how you want to do it and where you want to do it. You can stay above ground, go underground, be on, or in, a river, use your own two feet or get a machine or beast of burden to help you – the possibilities seem endless. If it's the right season for your activity, then go for it!

The Haute Pyrenees Region covers a significant area, and includes well-known attractions such as the Cirque de Gavarnie and the Pont d'Espagne. The entire area is a favorite destination of hikers and mountain enthusiasts.

The area has been known perhaps since Antiquity for its hot springs, and several towns were built around these, most notably Cauterets, Luz-Saint-Sauveur and Bagnères-de-Bigorre.

A notable lake in the area is Lac Bleu d'Ilhéou, southwest of Cauterets

There are a number of popular ski resorts in Hautes-Pyrénées such as Peyragudes, Barèges-La Mongie, Gavarnie, Luz-Ardiden, Cauterets, Hautacam, Piau-Engaly and Saint-Lary-Soulan.

The area is a nearly-permanent fixture on the Tour de France's itinerary, with legendary passes such as the Tourmalet, Aspin, the Aubisque and the Soulor.

The region's premier avant-garde jazz festival is held each year in Luz-Saint-Sauveur: Jazz a Luz. Tarbes hosts an annual horse festival, Equestria, and a Tango festival, Tarbes en Tango.
