Home description
This Luxury Sunset Villa is located on the outskirts of the Baroque town of Acireale. Quiet and peaceful location, yet only a short walking distance to restaurants and some shops for daily grocery shopping and dining out. The villa benefits from its own private pool, and 4 terraces, one of which is the Poolside Sun Terrace, one with a large Placebo covered outdoor dining table for 'Al Fresco Dining' and of course Sunset view terrace. The interiors of Villa Reale are a dream as well. The modern room centred kitchen is designed in calm white tones. The large living area is decorated with fine pale fabrics, curtains, crystal chandeliers and flawless columns which all offer a feel of fairy tale castle. A curved marble staircase leads up to the bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is located opposite of the four other bedrooms. The well-kept park (4000 sqm) planted with palms is, olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation is stunning and offers a lush green retreat from the hot summer sun in this region. A large staircase leads to the wonderful pool area, which is furnished with sun deck chairs for sun tanning and relaxation by the pool and wonderful refreshment of the cool water in the heat of the Sicilian summer. The covered terrace (placebo) offers a perfect place for outdoor dining with it’s large dining table.

The Sicily region
Sicily, more than an island! Discover Sicily and discover the world. The world's first multicultural society, Sicily is Italy's (and Europe's) most historically cosmopolitan region, having been ruled by Asians, Africans and Europeans. Sicily is black and white and a million shades of gray. There's no other place on Earth like Sicily. Our island is a unique place full of art, archaeology, history, folklore and breathtaking scenery. And, of course, great food. Sicily is almost a nation unto itself. The enchanting land where Archimedes taught and Saint Paul preached was a Greek colony, a Roman province, an Arab emirate and a Norman kingdom.
Taormina / Acireale area
Acireale is famous for its churches, including the Neo-Gothic St. Peter's Basilica, St. Sebastian's Basilica in the Sicilian Baroque style, and the 17th century Acireale Cathedral; and for its paintings: the oldest academy in Sicily, the "Accademia dei Dafnici e degli Zelanti", is located here. Acireale is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Acireale. As of 2009, the Bishop of Acireale is Pio Vittorio Vigo (born 4 November 1935), a native of Acireale who was nominated bishop of the diocese in 2002. There is also a seminary for the training of priests and many convents; thus Acireale has a strong clerical presence.
From a historical perspective, the church of San Biagio in Acireale is of interest because it contains some of the relics of the Venerable Gabriele Allegra, who entered the Franciscan seminary there in 1918.
Other notable places of interest are the Villa Belvedere, a large public park overlooking the Ionian Sea, and the Piazza Duomo. South of the Piazza Duomo, is the oldest section of the city. There are many beautiful historic Baroque buildings, including the Palazzo Pennisi which dates from the 17th century. The commercial city centre is located primarily in the streets adjacent to and including the Corso Umberto and Corso Italia which are the city's principal thoroughfares.
St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza Duomo, AcirealeAcireale is famous throughout Sicily for its spectacular floats, costumes, and parades during the season of carnival, which attracts many tourists and visitors. Excursions to the Etna park to climb and view Europes largest active Vulcano are available from the town of Acireale.
The climate of Catania is generally mild in Winter and hot in Summer.
