About the home
Le case del Principe (literally the Prince’s houses) consist of five cottages and the main house, previously farm buildings belonging to the estate named Pietraperciata. They have been completely refurbished and equipped with every possible convenience. They are strategically located for whoever wishes to visit this particular area of Eastern Sicily.
The estate is situated in the centre of an extensive cultivation of citrus fruit and olive groves, only few minutes from the sea (Isola Bella, Mazzarò, Giardini Naxos and Taormina).
The 50 Sq.m. cottages Zeus, Leone and Trinacria can accommodate max 2 adults and 2 children each one.
The 50 sqm cottage consists of :
1 double bedroom, a bath with shower, a sitting room with a small mezzanine with 2 beds for children 5/16, a kitchen corner, an exclusive patio with cane covering and creepers (5x5m.), an exclusive garden (5x5m.).
All cottages in 2012 have been provided with new air conditioners and new mattresses (top confortable).
Zeus, Leone and Trinacria will be provided with a new fridge with ice compart from January 2013.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning units that can be individually regulated and provide both hot or cold air.
Each cottage is equipped with its own cooking area, with working surfaces in marble, built in units and cupboards with cutlery for four people. The property is ideal for families with children, couples and holiday with friends.
Best period to come and have an holiday : from March to December. It is not only a summer spot. It is a perfect choice for a Spring holiday (April, May and June) and or in Autumn (September and October), but also in Christmas the weather is ideal and the country is still green.
The floors are done in old terra cotta tiles and the roofing with Sicilian bamboo canes, as were the old farmhouses in the past.
An amazing pool is available for guests from April to November.

Each apartment has its own individual flower garden, equipped with outdoor seats and table. The peace and quiet of the estate grounds encourages you to relax completely and enjoy the balmy warmth of the Sicilian climate in close contact with nature.
From May to October, is available for guests the beautiful swimming pool in the lemongrove.

Many foreigners, notably British and German, have decided to build villas in the town and many illustrious figures fave sojourned there, including Emperor William II and King Edward VII, and such famous families as the Rothschilds and the Krupps.

The Pietraperciata estate is located in Frazione Trappitello, in the Comune of Taormina (ME), Sicily. (Lat.: 37°,51' North. Long.: 15°, 17' East) and is easily reached by air (the Catania "Fontanarossa" Airport, which is 55 km from the estate or that of Reggio Calabria, which is 75 km. Away). The cottages can also be reached by train (Taormina - Giardini Naxos station, which is 5 km. away, or by car via the Catania-Messina motorway, exiting at Giardini Naxos).
On leaving the motorway, follow the signposts for Trappitello (Taormina), once you have reached Trappitello, turn right opposite the only Tabacconist-Bar in town and head for the Santa Venera torrent. Follow the road and you will find the entry to the estate 300 meters after the small bridge.
