Delightful Sicily apartment furnished for Summer or Winter vacation. Perfect location for the warm Med sea or skiiing at nearby Mt Etna. More than one apartment available - so please enquire for details.

The apartment is suitably furnished and has parking on site and in summer, there is a Solarium available for use of guests. Fully equipped kitchen and all expected appliances (washer, TV, bed linen and bath linen etc) make for a comfortable sojourn in Sicily.

The access to the volcano is easy from provincial roads (strada provinciale) crossing Nicolosi and Zafferana. By means of a modern cableway, then, built by Nuova Agudio Company, you can reach the height of 2500 meters. Acireale Carnival takes place every February, the whole town celebrates and you can enjoy the most beautiful carnival in Sicily with parades of masked groups, street perfomers, flowered-covered carriages, floats, music performances and so much more!
Against the backdrop of the architectural scenary,The Carnival in Acireale consists of a parade of allegorical, grotesque floats, decked with flowers, and groups in costume. Three centuries have past since the end of the 17th century, when the tradition began. During this period Acireale became part of the dominion of the Aragonese. During the 18th century, the Carnival became a popular celebration, thanks to the involvement of members of the lower classes who participated in recitals of verse in the local dialect.

During the 19th century, parades became more gentrified by the presence of very fine “landau” (coaches) and their teams in period costume. The aim of this was to delight both the local people and the aristocracy.
Today the Carnival in Acireale represents an important chance to promote tourism and entertainment according to today’s users / people.

I'm not sure we stayed in the exact apt. pictured, but our apartment was very big and was well equipped. It had the best heating system of any apt. we stayed in in Sicily!We did not see the owners after our introduction to the apt. they provided a generous welcome basket of food and had a tourist booklet available. the location was convenient for exploring the coast here. No sandy beaches in Stazzo"

Malgré notre arrivée tardive, Franca nous a présenté le très charmant village de Stazzo et nous a conseillé quelques addresses (sites à visiter, restaurants, supermarché...)L 'appartement est très bien équipé et très propre. Franca aura pensé aux premières provisions ainsi qu'un livret de dépliants et cartes touristics bien plus complet que les guides touristics ! Stazzo est très bien situé mais la voiture est nécessaire. Nous avons pu visiter les incontournables de la côte Est et découvrir les délices de la région.Pour les amateurs de plages de sable, il faudra vous rendre à Catane(environ 30min en voiture). Nous la remercions très vivement pour son accueil et pour l'excellente image qu'elle nous a laissée de la Sicile. Nous reviendrons :-)La focaccia nous manque beaucoup !"
