Casa NIna is a typical Sicilian house, simply furnished with antique furniture. It is a 4 person’s house with 2 bedrooms, with double beds, kitchen with dining area, living room also with dining area, complete bathroom with shower, hand basin, bidet and toilet. There are terraces at the front and the back of the house, there is a vegetable plot in the garden. The Alcantara River flows immediately beyond the garden … This house, is located in the heart of the Sicilian landscape (in the Alcantara Valley) between the orange tree orchards. Located rustically, but not too far from the various villages such as Gaggi, Francavilla di Sicilia, Motta Camastra, Castiglione and from the renowned bathing resorts Giardini Naxos and Taormina. There is a supermarket and restaurant nearby. The renowned bathing resorts Giardini Naxos and Taormina are approximately 7km away, Catania, with the airport, at approx. 65 km and Messina, with the docks, at approx. 50 km.

The Sicily region

Taormina / Mitoggio area
Taormina is famous for its tourism which makes of it one of the chief town of Sicilian tourism. The pretty town bases its production upon vegetables and fruit and also upon fresh fish. Local handicraft is based upon wood and iron works and handmade embroideries. It hosts a magnificent amphitheater with a breathtaking view of Mount Etna in the background. The theater, built by the Greeks in the 3rd century BC and remodeled by the Romans, is still used today and hosts the famous Taormina Film Festival. A much smaller Roman theater, the Odeon, is to be found near the Church of Santa Caterina.
