About the home

An elgant apartment in a breathtaking cliff-top position overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in the world: Isola Bella, Taormina.

The property is situated in a prestigious 24 apartment complex called "THE SUK", located in Taormina Mazzarò positioned right in front of Isola Bella (now WWF Nature Reserve).

The SUK benefits from its own saltwater pool (open mid-May to mid-October), directly looking to Isola Bella and from its own private rocky shore, which can be reached by an elevator built inside the rocky ridge. The beach is equipped with loungers and parasols for guests and has walkways and ladders for direct access to the emerald cobalt water of the bay.

From your terrace you will see an unforgettable scenery: Isola Bella bay, just there in front of you.

Swimming or relaxing into the saltwater pool, one really has the sensation of hanging above the sea.

The house is spread over three floors and consists of a large living room with dining room and kitchen at ground floor; one double bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor connected to the ground floor with spiral staircase; a third double bedroom with private bathroom with shower, on the second floor. The house is finally completed by nice dependance with separate access from the ground floor, composed of a double bedroom and an ensuite bathroom with shower.

Taormina is ideally located to easily reach most parts of Sicily including Mount Etna volcano, the Aeolian Islands, the UNESCO-protected baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa and Noto, the medieval village of Castelmola, Siracusa and its historical centre Ortigia, Villa Romana with its mosaics, Agrigento with its Greek temples… thousands of years of history in one island!

The Taormina area

If you can tear yourself away from the peace of the villa, a couple of miles away is the town of Taormina, the Pearl of the Mediterranean, easily reachable with the help of a cable car located 10 minutes walk away. Centre of attraction is the splendid Greco-Roman amphitheatre, spectacularly set with panoramic views across the beautiful blue bay with Mount Etna brooding in the background. Beautifully restored mediaeval buildings, breathtaking views around every corner and a giddy network of winding streets strewn with designer boutiques, romantic candlelit bars and sparkling restaurants make for a perfect holiday spot.

By plane: at Catania Fontanarossa airport you will find all the most important italian and european flight companies. From The airport is less than one hour by car to reach our apartment: just take the A18 Catania-Messina highway and take the Taormina exit. Then proceed on the way towards Giardini Naxos for less than 5 minutes.

By train: The nearest train station is the "Taormina - Giardini Naxos" one, about 1.5km from the complex IL SUK.
