About the home

The apartment is a 10 minute stroll to the village centre where you will be spoilt for choice for restaurants, bars and shops. Taormina boasts many interesting things to do and see including regular concerts and film festival at the world famous amphitheatre.

A 10 minute walk will also get you to the cable car and a lift straight down to the beautiful beaches. Hire an umbrella and sunchair and soak up the wonderful Sicilian climate. Taormina is ideally located to be able to access most parts of the island should you be feeling adventurous – Etna, Piazza Amerina, Agringento,Siracusa are all within striking distance.

Apartment Francesca itself is located only a few metres away from where the writer,D.H. Lawrence, was based. Lawrence fell in love with Taormina and stayed and lived here for over 10 years ..

Apartment Francesca is newly refurbished with traditional Sicilian features as well as modern touches. From a private entrance you will find a spacious apartment, full of light , each room having terraced doors taking you into the private garden . The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new electric appliances ( including dishwasher , fridge/freezer , hob, oven and grill and a washing machine,)

In your property there will also be a welcoming Sicilian Hamper including wine, fruit and essentials( tea, milk etc) to make your holiday get off to a relaxing start!

Our policy is to ensure that you have a property to suit your particular needs. Luisa (Manager) is contactable 24x7 ( and lives locally) giving the added reassurance that , should something go wrong, assistance is at hand at all times.

On your arrival you will be welcomed by our Manager who will be able to answer any questions you may have as well as give you up to date information about local events, excursions, shopping, beaches and so on for both Taormina and the island generally

There is also you own priavte garden and your own herb garden , with basil,parsley, sage and rosemary. We also leave fresh siclian garlic in the apartment which are fabulous for cooking.

Further details outdoors:
The garden has various vegetation ie. cypress tree, jasmine plants, boungonvillas, olive tree, lemon and orange tree . It really is the perfect sicilian garden where you will be able to enjoy many private moments.

Conditions

For secuirty reasons we accept a 20 % deposit at the confermation of the apartment.

The Sicily region

Based on the largest island in the Mediterranean (Sicily) Taormina is based along a beautiful coastline located halfway between Catania and Messina and in the shadow of Etna -, Sicily’s majestic volcano towering at over 3300 metres. . Taormina is located on a plateau above the beaches but easily accessible by cable car( funivia)

If you have not been to Taormina before you may have read how it has been described as ‘the getaway to paradise’. Goethe wrote how Taormina and Sicily were , for him, ‘a strip of paradise on the earth’. You can explore Taormina’s winding medieval streets and tiny secret passages. Or watch the world go by whilst enjoying an aperitif outside one of the charming bars in Taormina’s Corso Umberto – Taormina’s pedestrians –only main street.

Our apartments are ideally located a short walk from central Taormina boasting beautiful views across the Straights of Messina. Or take the 10 minute stroll to the cable car which will take you right onto the local beaches.Taormina’s Farmer’s and Fisherman’s market is only a few minutes away – so if you fancy living and cooking just like the locals here is your chance! During the summer months Taormina even has a famous amphitheatre from where classical and contemporary concerts are held. So there is no shortage of things to do and see and no shortage of Taormina’s beaches and venues for that all important relaxation!
